I just got a new HP laptop and it has a fingerprint scanner so you can log onto your computer. I was kind of excited to use it, but in the middle of setting it up, I said "wait a minute" and decided to post here.

Are my fingerprints and info being sent off somewhere?

maybe i'm just paranoid.

Thoughts?

Hmmmm.... all snarkiness aside. I probably wouldn't use it and I'm not even very paranoid.

It's just a convenience unless you have some very sensitive data that you must protect using the latest ID tech. Me... I'll stick with typing my password in...

Yeah I think about the webcam alot too, but if someone wants to watch me beat the bologna while I watch albino midget porn, thats their problem not mine. .
