It depends on what you think the rapture is supposed to be.

Since when does the lowest common denominator get anything right? Since when does the mainstream nail it?

There may have been a rapture but no one recognized it because our ideas about what the rapture is supposed to be are so warped. The rapture would be a mystical experience. Not a global event, not a crisis of missing people. And it would be experienced by very few people. Only mystics would know.

I did actually have a very, very profound experience on the winter solstice lunar eclipse of 2010. I still don't know what to make of it. Still working on it. But it could be thought of as a rapture.
