You are very welcome.
Is there a list somewhere of the 18 volc's that were put on heightened alert anywhere? Was this one of them? Thank you

Aromaz, I was given this link for Indonesian Volcanoes. Unfortunately it is in the local language! There are more than 18 volcanoes listed, and Krakatoa is indeed still on the list along with the Merapi and Marapi (
) volcanoes.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A volcano on a remote Alaska island has begun erupting, but poses little danger to people or aircraft, officials said Tuesday. The eruption at Cleveland Volcano is a slow effusion of magma that is forming a lava dome, and not an explosive eruption that generates large ash plumes, said John Power, the scientist-in-charge at the Alaska Volcano Observatory.

Indonesia’s Mt. Ibu volcano emitting thick smoke

August 12, 2011 – INDONESIA – Mt. Ibu in West Halmahera regency has been emitting thick smoke, causing its alarm status to be raised on Sunday. Ridwan, a volcanic observer at Mt. Ibu said the mountain’s activities had intensified over the past two weeks. Hundreds of small eruptions have been recorded by the seismograph. “There were numerous tremors. Therefore we increased its status to alert level II,” he said yesterday. Ridwan said the mountain had been closed to hikers and people were prohibited from getting within 3 kilometers of Mt Ibu’s crater. “We announced this two weeks ago and have intensified our observations. We hope people will be aware,” he said. –Tempo Interactive

Papandayan Volcano, Indonesia
Papandayan volcano in Indonesia has been placed on level 3 alert (out of maximum 4) after an increase in unrest. Seismic activity has increased at the volcano with a doubling of volcanic earthquakes in the first 2 weeks of August compared to previous months. Deformation measurements have detected an 18 mm inflation of the volcano on 10th August compared to 4th July 2011. Temperature in one of the four craters has increased from 106.4 to 107.5 deg C between 7-12 August. A two km exclusion zone has been placed around the crater.

The alert level of Mount Papandayan in Garut, West Java has gone up a notch to alert level 3 - just one level below eruption. According to Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) the 2,665-meter volcano had shown a significant increase in tectonic earthquake activity since Friday. “BNPB has dispatched a quick-response team to assess the necessary emergency action local government and other agencies need to take in order to ensure the safety of residents living around the volcano,” Sutopo said. Mount Papandayan last erupted on Nov. 11, 2002. Even though there were no deaths or casualties, dozens of houses were destroyed by the lava that swept through the villages within the volcano's 10km radius. It’s earliest recorded eruption was in 1772 when it destroyed 40 villages and killed 2,951 people.

Mount Soputan, Indonesia

Mount Soputan in Minahasa, North Sulawesi, emitted a cloud of ash on Sunday morning, reaching 1 kilometer in height. The volcanic eruption drew the attention of residents of Tompaso district in Minahasa, from which the volcano can be clearly seen. “I was surprised and panicked seeing the eruption at about 10 a.m. It was a big eruption; the clouds and ash looked very tall; almost the same as those produced in the big eruption several months ago,” said Tompaso resident Riko Tamunu, 24. He said he was attending church when the eruption occurred, adding that there had been smaller eruptions earlier at about 6 a.m. on Sunday. Some Tomoso residents also left their houses, churches or other buildings upon hearing the sound of the eruption. Several residents captured the event using their cell phone camera.

Shiveluch volcano churns up more ash- air flights potentially threatened

August 14, 2011 – MOSCOW – (UPI) — Scientists said ash continued to billow from a volcano in Russia’s Far East, which could have an effect on international air traffic in the region. The Shiveluch volcano on the Kamchatka peninsula was pushing ash as high as 6,000 meters (20,000 feet) and creating “light-intensity” tremors on the ground lasting as long as 40 minutes, the Far Eastern Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in a written statement. No towns in the area were considered threatened by the ash fall. Shiveluch has been erupting periodically since 2009. The size of the mountain’s crater has grown 50 percent in that period, RIA Novosti said Sunday. -UPI

I thought that the following video was from Etna's current activity. But then I realized it's from 2000. Still cool though.

I'm not sure about this one. I thought someone already mentioned undersea volcanoes of Oregon, but couldn't find any posts.

Turrialba Volcano in Costa Rica being tracked.

For over 100 years the Turrialba was dormant, but now is visited weekly by experts who are tracking its changes. Recently, experts have been investigating new holes in the craters, where the temperature of gas emissions has been rising and forming a single plume of gas that is visible at the top.

Here's another camera link. Click on the middle RED camera at the bottom, let it load, and enjoy the view. I don't know if it is the same camera that TZavros posted as I cannot get that one to load on my computer. This is my favourite view....amazing how many people think the car lights are UFO's! Personally I like watching all the little boats in the foreground!
