Yeah saw that.

So any ``specialist`` here...

What are the chances of a full scale eruption?

Because from what I read, that volcano is a supervolcano.

NICARAGUA: Fears are growing that a major eruption could be imminent at Nicaragua’s Telica volcano. The stratovolcano, one of several volcanoes of the Nicaraguan volcanic front, spewed a massive cloud of gas and ash into the air following several strong earthquakes yesterday.

Good call Casiuz ! Read your thread with interest and it's about 48 hours later too - just like Christchurch - hope for the best on this one in terms of minimal disruption and loss of life.

Volcanic ash falling on Icelandic towns

Posted on22 May 2011. Tags: ash, grimsvotn, Iceland, volcano

A lot of ash has been falling around the Vatnajokull glacier and nearby towns this evening. It is expected to continue through the night and maybe into tomorrow, according to Icelandic Met Office geologist, Hjorleifur Sveinbjornsson. The ash is much coarser than that which came from Eyjafjallajokull last year.

I also have the ASH from Eumetsat from the start until 40 minutes ago at 1 hour intervals but it is a big GIF. I have crunched it as much as I can but it is still 7+ MB

The last frame is this

I have been remiss in not copying my files up to the sharing site. I am updating them now. The earthquake maps and ash maps are from April last year to now. I download them (All Iceland, Myrdalsjokull and Vatnajokull) daily.

Edit:

Sorry that is not the last - but it shows you a sample.
