Rove's hand seen in Julian Assange prosecution, sources allege

www.rawstory.com

Former Bush political strategist Karl Rove may be connected to a Swedish effort to prosecute WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, sources for several legal experts suggest.

Rove is a longtime adviser to Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, who recently tapped the Republican operative to aid his 2010 reelection campaign.

Ahh, and yet again, the ever-criminalistic and devious front man for the Bush cabal, Karl Rove, rears his head again in political underhanded shenanigans.

This guy has had more lives than an alley cat in lebabon.

He has had his dirty hands involved in so many shady activities that I have lost count. And he has gotten away with them all, thanks in large part due to an entirely corrupt and infiltrated 'justice department', stacked with he and Dubya cronies.

This guy should be serving multiple life sentences, and instead he's STILL out there doing this type of schemery, free as a bird.

And you can bet that HIS involvement with getting Assange silenced has to do with MORE of HIS crimes being exposed!

Heh-heh, I wonder if this is one of the many things Rove is hoping to hush-hush in potential future wikileaks releases?

How Karl Rove and Torture Influenced the 9/11 Report

Philip Shenon, author of The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Investigation, recently suggested on Democracy Now! that Philip Zelikow, the executive director of the 9/11 Commission, sought to minimize the Bush administration's responsibility for failing to prevent the September 11th attacks. Shenon also revealed that Karl Rove repeatedly called Zelikow during the probe.

Oh, you can rest ONE HUNDRED PERCENT assured that Rove's interest in silencing Assange and WL is to cover his own ass, as well as his criminal team's here.

Looks like things are about to get more interesting folks...

For the good of the entire world, Americans need to rally and shoot this #ing guy in the head. I'm so sick of the Neo-Conservative Bush Cabal and how they have their hands in virtually every evil act (where there's money involved) on the globe.

Heh, well I'm not an advocate of violence or bloodshed, so I won't go that far, but I can certainly understand where you are coming from.

These heathens are responsible for so much widespread death and suffering and unbelievable criminality and corrpution on a planetary scale it's immeasurable.

My hope is to see them all be fully exposed and marched before the Hague one day, and sentenced to multiple life sentences for their crimes against humanity.

Hey, I can dream of a place where the world becomes just...

And secret arrangements between the Swedish Ministry of Justice and the US, which were hidden from the Swedish parliament, were exposed in a cable recently:

www.telegraph.co.uk...< br />

The secret cables, seen by The Daily Telegraph, disclose how Swedish officials wanted discussions about anti-terrorism operations kept from public scrutiny.

They describe how officials from the Swedish Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a “strong degree of satisfaction with current informal information sharing arrangements” with the American government.

Making the arrangement formal would result in the need for it to be disclosed to Parliament, they said.

They disclose officials’ fear that intense Swedish Parliamentary scrutiny could place “a wide range of law enforcement and anti-terrorism” operations in jeopardy

It is plain, and has been for some time that the democracy we wave so proudly in the western world, is tarnished and tattered almost beyond recognition. Over the last two decades, much hand wringing and debate has occured on the issue of human rights, and what to do about nations which fail to provide them. Every time a disturbed or conflicted nation has an election , theres a story about corruption, about vote rigging, about the inability of the people to elect the person they want to lead, to elect the person who has the policies that the people wish enacted.
Here in this article , there is evidence that the so called free world, is only free up to a point. If INDIVIDUALS hold power like this, then there is no hope for proper democracy. Democracy can be boiled down to this. When the people will it, it must be so . When the people demand change, and demand sense, they must get it. When they demand honesty and transparancy , they must have it. When the people need the power taken away from the powerful, that order must be enacted, for unless it is, the people have no power.
Put another way, if all you have is a choice as to who screws you next, thats a pretty poor showing, considering all the blabber we like to spew about the advantages of the free market ecconomy , democracy , and all our pretty human rights.
The Assange case is a case in point. Personaly I think that when a person of his ilk, who claims to do what he does in the common interest, accuses several states of colusion in a clandestine effort to see him rendered beyond the reach of law for purposes unknown, I belive the people (in this case the people of Britain, where he currently remains under bail conditions) ought to be able to insist that his argument be investigated thoroughly and publicly BEFORE any further movement can occur on his case.
More to the point, I believe it is imperative that people like Rove stay the hell in America where they can only damage the society which spawned them. Not that I wish scum like him on anyone, but the US needs to tidy up the yard where he is concerned, or at the very least stop him affecting things which occur outside his neighbourhood

Great points and info guys!

I'm surprised that more folks aren't chiming in here---This to me is actually a potentially HUGE twist in this whole wikileaks scenario!

I hope that the next set of leaks will focus upon this crook, and the rest of his war criminal pals...

Love seeing your posts DD. Always look forward to what you bring to the table as far as posts and your opinions on them. It's time that these war criminals pay for their crimes against humanity. It's time that we the people demand real change, because all power lies with us. It sickens me how my fellow Americans sit by and allow our country tot become the U.S.S.R. ( United States Socialist Republic). Demand change, demand truth, but don't become another lazy American who could care less about freedom.

Isn't Rove supposed to be in prison or something?
And if I'm remembering wrong, then he should still be in prison. That guy is pure evil.

Why would you be against shooting them?
What you are accusing them of amounts to treason..
And the penalty for treason is..????

Dirty, no-good, rotten bastard Karl Rove is behind this?

Oh WHY am I not surprised? Where you find the lowest of the low, you'll find Karl Rove even lower.

I get angry every time I see this tub-a-crap little weasel on Fox News. Grinning at looking at all the world like they are idiots. You'd be surprised at all the stuff this little grub worm has his hand in. WOW I feel better now.

I support Julian Assange, but the problem I see is that he has a big ego. He is holding all this information and is trickling it down to us in bits and pieces. I can see the support for him eroding day by day. It is becoming obvious that he is using his leaks as a personal ego trip, or something to that effect. People at Wiikileaks are miscalculating the public's support. This trickle down crap is starting to bug me. He needs to release what information he has, and quit playing polictical games with it or he is going to find himself without any support. Carl Rove is an expert in political matters and Julian Assange does not stand a chance at beating him.

Seems at least one group is trying to expose this thug's innumerous crimes, particularly his hand in rigging the electoral processes...So much so, they are offering a $100,000 reward for info that will aid in his prosecution:

Group offers $100,000 for ‘information leading to the arrest and conviction of Karl Rove’

Karl Rove created American Crossroads to continue his 40-year history of unfairly manipulating elections on behalf of oligarchs. He joined with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a cabal of corporate barons, and other CEOs that want Big Business to control our elections and our government.

Rove’s group plans to amass more than $50 million from companies making secret donations, and spend that money to influence elections and buy candidates who will act on behalf of those companies and their deregulatory policies. These same polices brought us Enron, the collapse of Wall Street banks, Bernie Madoff, Jack Abramoff, the Gulf oil spill, the recent coal mining disasters, and the corporate controlled Supreme Court.
