Author of pedophilia how-to book arrested

Many people remember a short while ago, Amazon.com garnered some negative publicity over selling the book in question, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct"

The website has since halted the sales of this book and Florida's Polk County's sheriffs office issued a warrant for the author on obsenity charges.

The author Phillip Ray Greaves II was arrested at his home in Pueblo,CO early on Monday morning.

Man this is amongst the creepiest thing ever...boooo a pedophile was actually allowed to market a book on sensuasly pleasing a child sexually DISGUSTING Wonder who published it for him, golden books or something???
Sorry, but its disgusting and very very wrong. I hope he has 'an accident' at the sherrifs place or something. So they checked his book ..has anyone checkedhis computer as well? And dont say its his right to express himself, right of speech, whatever...its wrong

I am shocked that this sick-o was only arrested on "obscenity charges"!

Perhaps more charges will follow; but he/his book may have assisted self/others in child sexual abuse/molestation, and worse!

I am sure somethign more will come of this. Perhaps I'm wrong in assuming this, but what are the chances that he has actually acted on his choice of subject matter and what are the chances that he was in possession of some illegal or questionable material.

I will follow this story a little closer and post updates as I see them if no one else does.

(might have to wait a little bit as I am off to get a Xmas tree finally)

Just disgusting, I wouldnt believe for a second that he just compiled all this information to share based on others peoples experiences.

Check his computer, his friends kids, the kids in his family, home, work, EVERYTHING!

This is the kind of person who shouldnt have a RIGHT to PRIVACY!

God forbid parents learn how pedo's groom their children

If the author had really wanted to simply *inform* parents, don't you think the pedo could come up with a more benign title?

I cant believe it took the authorities so long!!

I havent read the book so I cannot make a decisive opinion but just going on the title alone will suffice in this case.

Some people really have lost the plot in this world!!

Now lets arrest everyong who writes any book about anything illegal!

To hell with freedom of speech! Damn the First Amendment! Lets just get rid of the whole Constitution, just in case any of us find anything disgusting, perverted, or objectionable the government should be able to step in and arrest us!

haven't there been thousands of books made on how to get away with murder? that is far worse than some pedophile guide book. it's creepy someone can get arrested for writing a book regardless of the content.

I have no kids...I couldn't care less about this book actually beyond the overall point you summed up..but what is striking to me more is how the people that should be defending such a book for the knowledge and insight they could get to better protect, they instead are demanding they not know how pedo's work...demanding the book be burned.

Not only is it cheering the stomping of knowledge...its cheering the stomping of knowledge they could directly benefit from..amazing.

I wonder if this outrage is actually started by the catholic church to keep parents willingly in the dark...totally one of their type moves.

What your thinking is how parents often feel the victim for the rest of their lives and transfer that to the child..which makes sense considering they often feel guilty for not seeing it earlier and stopping it...

then of course never getting therapy to put it into perspective.

So, they take their rightous indignation and throw it onto the victim..compiling the childs dilemma of trying to simply move on and get perspective on it.

Pity there wasn't a book or something that parents could read to alert them of creepy uncles grooming their kids or something...that sure would help out this whole situation
