Well at least nobody can call them Chinese lanterns.

If it is not CGI then that is a great video. The only thing I can see that seems wrong with it is the guy talking, he seems very nonchalant about it, as if it happens all the time. Otherwise, great vid.

edit: Just seen the above vid with other people filming it. That rules out CGI then.

Planes do behave like this, and they have been doing it over Santiago for years. It's the Chilean Air Force and their annual December maneuvers. Check out this video from December 16 last year:

well the guys in the video are saying that they caught the same image last year, so whose to say it's not party balloons or an air show of some sort? The video quality was terrible too. I just wasn't that impressed, sorry.

I think it was yesterday or the day before that, I saw a tweet of a film student in Chile who said he had just captured some of the greatest UFO footage (it was all in caps, so he was pretty excited I guess). This might be it.

i had a Ufo experience 2 weeks ago. I have no doubt anymore that they are here.
This experience was really something else then just seing a video on youtube. 7 light balls flying silently above my head without making a sound and changing the formation in a fast speed. It was one of the best moments in my whole life as i lost hope that this thing is real!

They are Planes , this happens every year .

jes i heard that but i was not sure if he just was a sceptic...i meant an official source..why are they doing that.

the strange thing is that u can see 3 lights when they fly from left to right but u dont see the wings or something like that

There is no doubt that these are the AirForce planes...
It's possible to see it in that video... so this one isn't really "unitendified"...
For me this isn't the best UFO sighting this year, there are better ones...

hehe seems he was right. Synchronism in its purest form with a funny touch. I begged one week ago for a prediction coming true on ats and now i am the prediction coming true. lol.
i always get over excited when i see footage that seems real and sad when its "debunked". Don´t know why. I just need a wonder to happen .
