Hands-on entertainment: Sex firm hacks Microsoft Kinect to create interactive pornography

Microsoft said in a statement: ‘This isn't the first example of a technology being used in ways not intended by its manufacturer, and it won't be the last.

Pornography and technology have a long history together. Pornography helped VHS win the war with Betamax in the 1970s as it was easier to make and distribute with the format.
And the rapid development of online video on the internet was driven by the urge for consumers to access pornography online.

My oh my, MS gets the hacktackular priviledge to inadvertantly sponsor the world's first hands on virtual blowbot.

I'da thought platforms like wii would have been the platform of choice for something like this... lol, mod a golf or baseball wii game for something of ths nature and get hit outa the ball park for that very costly virtual grope you just took!

Microsoft would be foolish to complain too much about this hack...matter of fact, they would do well to try and at least unoffically facilitate its ease of hacking.

Moving the console from a tween target audience to a 18-98 audience = far more revenue for them.

What they need to do is simply move away and let game developers use the technology however they deem fit.

Expect Microsoft to do nothing about this at all beyond pretend to moan publically while the 360 and kinect starts selling like hotcakes

I'd buy that for a dollar.

But seriously disappointed in kennect, when it was in development as "project natal" it showed so much potential for the older crowd, and hardcore gamers alike. Then it came out and became a fancy wii clone.

Wheres that interactive milo kid at? Wheres the game to virtually try on clothes like the jetsons? Wheres there game that scans you, your skateboard, or a piece of paper you hold up?

Was so excited for this, so much potential.

usually stuff like this the first generation games aren't good at all. Give it a year if it still sucks then I'll be right there with you saying the Kinect was a horrid decision.

Who would buy this? The player wouldn't even feel anything.
