Okay where to start?

I am wondering if you have ever been to Tampa or do you know much about Tampa? I ask you this because if you knew much about it you would know that there is a large population of undocumented citizens there and drugs that get moved from south Florida to Tampa then sent to other cities. Why do you think this is way out of line? All the uniformed people are not going to be there like that all the time and was even mentioned in the video.

A Greyhound bus is a great way to transport things like drugs, money and even weapons(not too sure about weapons but good chance it happens). With all the tighter security at airports what better way for someone to move things around the country than by bus, because the security at bus stations is very minimal at best. People have been using bus lines to transport things for a long time and they didn't have to worry about security stopping them.

Think about it the bus lines fall into the TSA umbrella, but weren't really considered a large security problem. IMHO I think that bus lines should have always had tighter security. Also let me put it into perspective here? If someone has commited a crime (a felony crime) can go to a bus station get a ticket and leave town before the law is able to find them. This is something that happens alot because nobody will know what they did. Also it seems that this security show has not bothered passengers or you can damn sure bet it would be a big news story. In fact the passenger on the video had no problem with it.

Now here is a few reasons why security at bus stations should be tighter...

A 12-year-old Longview girl traveling alone on a Greyhound bus was allegedly raped in the bus restroom while on a trip to her grandmother's home.

www.ksla.com...

and this...

TULSA, OK -- A man is in custody after being accused of trying to sell drugs and a gun at the Greyhound bus station in downtown Tulsa.

www.newson6.com...

Also a bus station is a great place for criminals to target tourists and others for robbery. So having tighter security is not a bad thing. Also understand that there are certain indicators that are noticed by trained officers that may help them find a criminal before a crime is committed or before a criminal can board a bus.

Well while every one was arguing about the OS look what happened?
Those that really hate your freedoms just stole it.
Of course you know:
It is considered "America Hate" to complain when your children get groped, or pornscanned.
but its OK
I read that you can buy copies in wallet size on the net...

I think that is what they are working there way up to ,it's just a matter of time before we can't even go run errands without "security"up our asses, our country is slowly becoming a police state. What a sad state of affairs we find ourselves in..........

Holysh*t, I think we have some plants on here. What the h*ll part of russia did some of these people grow up in?
I mean really!!!! how long do you have to think about it before you realize there is no stopping point. Yah, we could all sit here and come up with good reasons why they should be allowed to do this sh*t..... and yah they're obviously going to start it in the "bad" places so it will be more palatable to us zoned out zombies. But I could sit here and say ....you know what? I think they should do pat-downs at mall entrances because they haven't attacked a mall yet? Yah and then I could say Wal-mart aught to allow pat-downs too because alot of people are in Wal-marts and it would be a good target. As far as drugs and the other stuff goes...that's been in this country for a long time and we haven't needed the border patrol patting us on the ass to make us all feel safe. As long as we all have a beer in the fridge and money to go to McD's we're all happy and don't give a sh*t. The fact of the matter is our asses are pinned down 6ways from sunday and their just waiting to spring their fully loaded trap on us.

Holy Hell, Im from tampa and I didnt see that on the news... WOW.... thats all I can say is WOW!.... What will they do next?? Seriously though, bus stations?? What next checks before you go into WALMART?!? Or a mall?!?!? They are feeding into this whole scenario.... wasnt it Pres Bush who said, "Dont be afraid to live your daily lives, if we stop everything that we normaly would do, we are giving in to the terrorist, we are giving into the fear that they are trying to create." And so by this doing this, and then airing it on the news they are letting the "TERRORIST" know... they have won, we are "AFRAID" to ride buses and planes, soon it will be going to malls and schools! give me a break!

Good find, but...

This video is from February 16th, 2010.
So it's not like this just happened.

Needless to say, if the security needs beefed up in an area prone to crime...
So be it.

When they force strip searches in every city in the US, I'll get worried.

When it gets to EVERY city in the US, its to late.

They wont do it that way.
They follow the "frog in the pot of water" scenario or the famous "they first took the jews but i wasnt jewish, so i didnt worry" scenario

Its done in stages, certain cities first, to gauge the citizens reactions, then by blocks (major cities across different regions of the country) then its every major city (hubs) across the country.

True, but you would know when that would take place.
THAT in itself would either kennel all the sheep or cause chaos.
Out of chaos comes order.

The problem is there is no stopping point with this, before its over they will be doing......random....home searches.......probably starting with hotel rooms because a hotel is a public place right? Then up to rentals......after all its not REALLY your home. Then oce people have grown used to this they will go on to privite homes in poorer sections......got to keep the public safe from those drug dealers dont they?

The saddest part of this is a portion of the people in this country will be cheering this on as a wonderful thing to protect us from the................fill in the blank.........I am growing ashamed of my fellow countrymen.

WWTJD

What would Thomas Jefferson Do

What Do you think our founding fathers would think of the government we have now?
What do you think they would think of the soft sniviling cowards that have replaced the feircly independent citizans of their day.

IMO............they would be shoting congressmen and police officers alike in the street for the treasonist bastards they are

This make me sick to my stomach. I cannot believe how fast we are losing our personal freedom now or how little most Americans seem to care. You folkks that think you will get any more security out of these bogus measures need to have your heads examined.

This is about control. I am so very disappoointed in how easily my fellow countrymen are rolling over and taking this abuse, or even worse, thanking them for doing it!

I agree with part of your statement, but this cant all be laid at the libs doorstep, remember Bush and friends Patriot Act and Reagons "war on drugs"..........they laid the ground work for this....both "sides" are corrupt through and through

Explosives dogs will alert on guns.
Gunpowder in nitrate based and burnt gunpowder residue still has unburnt residue.

Plus if they switch dogs and still let everyone being checked believe the drug dog is a explosives dog who would know.

They also will have officers watching the people being checked.
If you act nervous or you body language gives away that something is wrong they likely will check you by running you for wants and warrants.
If you are a fugitive you would have problem flying as they require ID to fly so many fugitives now take buses.
if you are on parole or probation and have a bus ticket out of state they have you.
if you are on parole or probation from another state and do not have permission to be out of your state they have you

This is starting to look like a US wide program to stop criminals from moving around the country.

For years DUI checkpoint have been used to catch people that were not drunk but could be arrested on other charges.
suspended drivers licenses. unregistered vehicles. pot smokers(the smell will stay in a car for days)parole or probation violators, wants and warrants. ECT ECT
In most cases there will be more incidental catches then DUIs found at the checkpoints.
But the next day to cops will only tell the media the number of DUIs they got.
They don't want to scare off the others from there checkpoints

Im sure its just for public safety.
A little search wont harm anybody.

Take it in your stride, stop the moaning.

These measures are needed.
