Funny post.

What is funnier is how many BILLIONS have been on spent diets...how many words
have been written about dieting...how many different diets, carbs, no carbs, carrot juice,
banana only, fruit only, meat only...whatever.

I can tell you how to lose weight.

My advise is FREE. It is fool-proof and guaranteed to work regardless of medical
conditions, health, mood, thyroid problems, or genetics.

And I'll only use SIX words...(all caps plus a set of quotation marks)

"EAT LESS THAN YOUR BODY NEEDS"

Well, I suppose that would work to a degree, but for some folks less than they want would
still be more than their bodies need. The science on my diet plan is exact--take in less
calories than your body burns and PRESTO!...you will lose weight.

Once you've hit your target weight, you should get laid alot (utilizing your new found
self-esteem), begin smoking, (to decrease your appetite), have gastro-intestinal bypass
surgery (or maybe just get one of those lap-band belts that can be tightened around
your stomach--less invasive), then make sure to masturbate frequently, eat only raw or
frozen foods (without thawing--to increase the calories burned while chewing) and for
protein eat only green-blooded insects and arachnids (to cut down on protein intake
due the nausea).....hmmm, maybe I should quit giving this advice away for free and
write a book.

Oh man...you are absolutely right...and I am absolutely FAT.

I've been fighting with weight all my life and I am finally starting to conquer it. But I must tell you that I believe, without the help of some modern medicine miracle, most Americans will not recover.

This is because the urge to eat poor foods is so deeply ingrained in the average American's subconscious that they could not possibly imagine any way else of eating. Also, they are surrounded by fast food and processed foods that are filled with horrible man-made substances and most importantly high-fructose corn syrup.

Until capitalism ends (which it will not) Americans will be cursed with obesity.

Nah...Japanese people eat like pigs, but they eat awesomely nutritious foods. That's why they don't gain weight.

If you go to Tokyo, you are surrounded by Japanese food, and they talk about food on TV and the news all of the time. But not fast food, healthy foods.

All I know is that a lot of women in my culture are overweight, and I'm not attracted to them because of it...Also the fact that a lot of them have visible and ugly body tattoos doesn't help either.

People eat what they are served. I think America grows crops on what exceeds the size of the EU. Big Bigmac menues. They eat far more than they need. If you are at your prime with some movement, you need between 2000 and 2500 kcal. I heard at an american burger king you get bigger servings than at an European king, so one serving there comes pretty close to what you need for the day.

As you get older you need less. I work out and I am fine with about 2000 Kcal and I benchpress 230 and swim for up to an hour.

Europeans and especially Americans simply eat too much. It isnt bad fad or not enough vitamins or too high in sugar, its just too many calories. If you eat just 2000-3000 KCAL youll slowly get fat, as seen in europe. If you eat your 5000 KCAL youll get obese, as seen in the US.

Sadly we are not only the fattest nation but soon to become the nation with higher diabetic problems per capital, this will bring a bigger load to the nations health care system and millions will be hook on prescription drugs for life, this include children also.

Subway is almost as bad as Mcdonalds depending no what you get. Plus it didn't say he ate ONLY Subway and it didn't mention the fact that he probably didn't have the pop meat or chips. (their meat is extremely unhealthy)

Human bodies are not used to dealing with the lack of activity and the abundance of food our current state of the world provides. Our bodies are used to activity and leaner foods (over thousands of years) - the advent of abundant food and the lack of need to be active has created this issue. Evolution has not caught up with human's circumstances.

You don't have to eat perfectly to get in shape. You just need to exercise. If you work out 6 days a week, average of 1 to 1.5 hours, you will be in great shape, even if you don't eat the best. Diets are not the solution. Exercise is. When I was in the Army, me and my buds were in great shape, even though we ate (and drank) horribly - because exercise makes the difference.

Eat a bit better, exercise regularly, and you got it.

I think last I read though, America was the 9th fattest country. You might want to start 8 other threads first. Or get off your high horse, one of the two.

Surely if fat people die younger they could actually cost the health service less than a stick man who lives for a very long time and was sick more, overall, in his lifetime.

I dont know how long an actual stick man could live for, presumeably on a laminated piece of paper, or if it was pickled, then quite a while. Although that doesnt really count as living. Anyway.

I heard the portions in America are like at least twice the size to here in England maybe that would be a good place to start. I also heard they are widening everything, like streets and pairs of glasses by twice the size to make accomadation.

Dang, now that you make it apparent, I am FAT.
I am 300 lbs.
I am bald.
I have man boobs.
I can not see my junk while on scale. (still there, just checked).
I eat around 5000 calories a day.
I have not taken off my shirt in public ever.

I am a FAT American. And you just helped me realize I am part of this Fat American problem.

I will die at an early age, I can not flirt with the opposite sex, friends don't want to be seen with me.

I am ugly and really hard to look at.

I think I just may so something about it. I gotta do myself a favor and get a clue.

After I seen Hartman in that pic, I thought maybe his fictional character could give me some motivation.

But I think better motivation would be to see my junk on a scale once again.


Anyways thanks for not being PC and facing the problem in the thread. The problems not going to go away on its own.
