If someone were to attack, they would also be attacking the U.S. so it's a deterrent, the U.S. benefit in other ways, place to deploy, allies, information, etc.

It's China and Russia's choice not to put bases around the world. Not that they couldn't do it.
Them not having bases everywhere wouldn't make them weaker if someone was trying to attack them.

For the most part, the only reason the US has those bases overseas is because the host nations asked for them, without their governments consent we wouldn't have the bases. If a "war" does in fact break out, I would put 3-month's wages down on the table, betting that the majority of the KPA will surrender and defect immediately. They have a hard time as-is, trying to keep soldiers from defecting during standard guard duty on all borders.

Who knows though. Only the officers, a select few at that, get well-fed and receive proper training/treatment. Everyone else... yeah, they totally don't want to be there.

Of course Kim and his golden child know this... hence their constant threats filled with impotence.

Also, anyone claiming that NK is a threat to the United States, via some invasion scenario or otherwise.. please stuff a sock in it. The KPA would starve to death and scuttle what's left of their already non-existing invasion assets before they ever reached any US territory.

You don't know anything about Cuba. I have a few of my compatriots that have been there many times, both in the "tourist" section and real Cuban life and what you speak is garbage. Try watching some documentaries on it even, and I don't mean documentaries funded by the CIA. Perhaps you should start with something that covers the success of the "four pillar" socialist system and the green agriculture revolution that occurred during the "special period" in the 90s.

The only reason there is a problem on the Korean Peninsula is because Japan took them over around 1910 and made them their slaves.

After we took over Japan we tried to secure their old holding, Korea as our own and were only able to get half of it.

We're trying to steal Taiwan from China which they've owned since the 1600's.
