Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has survived two confidence votes meant to determine if he should retain his position as leader of the government. Berlusconi won Tuesday's votes in the Italian Senate and Chamber of Deputies. In the Senate, he won by a vote of 162-135. In the second and most dramatic of Tuesday's votes, Berlusconi survived a confidence motion in the lower house by three votes. If he had lost, Berlusconi would have been forced to resign, halfway through the five-year term of parliament. The parliamentary showdown followed a spate of sex scandals and a dramatic fallout with his one-time closest ally, Gianfranco Fini. The breakup could have deprived Berlusconi of a majority in the lower house, where the outcome was expected to hang on a few undecided lawmakers. Fini, the co-founder of Berlusconi's centre-right People of Freedom party who abandoned the coalition last summer, predicted the premier would lose. Berlusconi had said he was confident he would win both votes.

I am not Italian or from Europe, but I am pretty sure the region is pretty sick of this guy.

His scandals and lack of representation of the true beliefs of the Italian people should be enough to make him lose this vote, not including the fact he is an NWO agenda pusher.

Makes you wonder if the voting is rigged (I am pretty sure it is, but have no proof).

Doesn't matter which country you mention the same stuff is happening, we the people have no real say and this is just another of many examples.

We need to find a way to elect real representation.

But then again the Americans voted Bush twice, even though there is suspected vote rigging. Then they vote for Obama and for change...did they get much change?

In Canada we do the same, elect liars and hypocrites. Same thing each time voting is almost a waste of time, I only vote to say I did to give me the right to complain. I might even stop.

I wonder how these people stay in power after all the crap they pull...

Oh I remember now "It's all rigged"
