A stone with the inscription "the enduring spirit of freedom" has arrived at the site of New York's World Trade Centre it was part of a groundbreaking ceremony and will become the cornerstone of the skyscraper which is to replace the destroyed twin towers. The ceremony also included remarks by several political figures from the New York area including the city's Mayor who said the stone represents freedom and democracy.

New York's mayor said he could not imagine a more appropriate day for the ceremony. "The cause of liberty can never be defeated," Michael Bloomberg said in remarks at Ground Zero. New York Governor George Pataki said the tower would replicate that "great lady of liberty" - and stand as a "new symbol of American strength and confidence".

This is a priceless in a piece of American history and For the families of those who died and also it is another milestone in dealing with their grief and I think this is a very respectful way to remember the victims of the 911
