there is no enemy out there except what you personally want to declare as an enemy. im for the humanitarian bashing of any country that decides it wants to use coercion to scare an enemy (terrorist) into you. then the billions spent on cia is really gonna come in handy, there are gonna be homegrown terrorists everywhere. whole families, but dont forget, just call in your neighbor and that terrorist will never threaten you again

Look at it this way: The First Amendment gives liberal/socialist/communists the right to bash America.

After all, there is an American Communist Party and an American Nazi Party all protected by the First Amendment.

BUT....the last thing liberal/socialist/communists was in America is a shooting civil war with Patriots. That's the very last thing they want. That's so far last on their list that it's a mile farther back last than their second last thing they want.

see now the shooting war/ revolution is a bit trickier, kind of like the uk, if you get enough people involved you wont be able to stop them. when orders are given yet entire platoons cross the battle line and join their families, and their children, what will happen? and all the planning would be destroyed because the miliatary isnt full of dogs, it's full of men and women that need to be heard but need to also know whats right. and when the shooting war begins, big whigs are going to find they werent as prepared as they believed, you can quote me on that

If we didnt have our soldiers people would not be allowed to speak freely about thier views. So personally I think we should all give thanks to anyone who wears a military uniform and wears it proudly.

I think one reason people bash the millitary is simply ignorance, and a huge lack of appreciation for the freedom we enjoy. (Americans have never lived in fear of their power-crazed dictator who goes around killing his own people.)

Of course the military is not perfect, but it is still very sad the way people view it.

I guess people just don't know much about it. Nearly everyone in the military is willing to die for our freedom and for the welfare of the downtrodden people of the world. I

think this is an honorable thing to do, and that they at least deserve more respect than they recieve.

Their lives are not easy they believe in what they are doing.

I was watching football this weekend and the announcers said that the game was being shown to US. soldiers in 177 countries, and at sea. I can't even name 177 countries. lol

The soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are not protecting anyones freedoms (maybe israel), this was planned way before any attacks on 911. If the soldiers would not go to war, there would be no war. There is no such thing as just following orders (didn't work for the Nazi's). They have a right to say no. Who cares if they get put in jail, who cares if they get a bad discharge. Anything is better than killing innocent people for a paycheck.

As far as your video's LOL!!! Americans "saving" children from horrible conditions, from a country that they invaded? They had nothing to do with it? lol. Oh the soldier really cares. How many kids have died since the invasion of Iraq. How many more are Deformed and have birth defects. Give me a break.

Well I'm not gonna take my time and watch some fluffy feel good propaganda videos and not respond. I responded with some video's of whats really going on. Sorry I ruined the little dream thread where the soldiers are all nice giving toys and saving kids from the boogey man. lol.

US joined April 1917.

WW2 1939-45
US joined December 1941.

Plus they would only join after making money out of supplying both sides for a number of years first.

the troops are there because they are ORDERED to be there, by the legal govt of the USA and are doing for the most part

I don't exactly mean to sound rude but have you ever thought that maybe your government is just screwing you guys over, making you fight a war that only they would benefit from? YOU signed up to the army, YOU signed up to receive orders and obey them without question, YOU signed up to serve your government. THEY order YOU because YOU volunteered!
