The Anti Anti American and Anti Anti Military bashing thread...

I am getting SICK and DISGUSTED of the US Military bashing, over 90% of the threads bashing military troops for 'alleged' war crimes are started by people that hate the United States for one reason or another, and launch threads based on rumors, BS and outright lies, with very little to no research done to confirm the stories posted. This thread to being started to PROMOTE the GOOD THINGS our military does to help the civilians there in the combat zone.
Do not get me wrong, war crimes DO occur, but for the most part they are stopped and the perpetrators punished harshly, but to say ALL troops are baby killers is completely outrageous.

Here is a few youtube videos of US troops and allies helping the local populace, especially children. Most older troops are parents, so I find it hard to believe they would EVER hurt a child.
So to you anti Americans and American bashers, STUFF IT!!!

my congratulations for the most confusing thread title i have ever seen.

most bash the government, the agenda, and the real motives for the wars what we were thrust into by lies. few bash the actual troops, except for the ones who have committed the atrocities (think abu gharib photos).

i have friends that are enlisted. they are fine and decent people. that doesnt mean that a good amount of soldiers out there aren't there because they want a chance to kill someone. ive heard it plenty from the horses mouth, man. there's sick people everywhere, including the military.

agreed, but instead of focusing on those scumbags, I want to focus on what the MAJORITY of troops are doing

S&F for you................of course you do realize the usual suspects will soon appear calling our troops all kind of vile things, all from the comfort of their computer chair, and then they'll happily star each other for every ridiculous thing they post.

I am, not here to debate the right or wrong of the war, the troops are there because they are ORDERED to be there, by the legal govt of the USA and are doing for the most part, the right thing

Sounds like someone is still taking a swipe a the military!!! A watered down swipe but a swipe nonetheless. Just like the OP stated. Hmmmm Guess you proved him right eh! Get off their backs (In any capacity) they are fighting for our countries protection, to stop Sharia law & get our resources! They are heroes!

If there were a button to bring every soldier home and disarm every nation of their weapons, this Marine would push it in a heart beat. I know first hand what the military complex does - violence begets violence, ad infinitum; and then we pass it on to our children. My loyalty is to change. My courage comes from a love for my brothers and sisters. My only enemy is the military industrial complex - whether that be of our own nation or of our supposed enemies. Being Anti Military doesn't mean being a coward, or not supporting the troops. If you want to support the troops - support peace, at all costs.

i know right? everyone is all like bitchin about the guy in a helicopter that got all triggerhappy and killed almost a dozen people including wounding two young children. that one situation where a trainee (maybe not, he sounded green) gets to go rambo without real cause, or disciplinary action is just a bunch of lies and bullspit.

headline: us troops give toys to children in areas they clusterbombed, invaded, dronestriked, but look how happy they are, maybe this whole thing was a great idea. anyone thats there, doesnt want to be there, us included. yeah, you want to take the propaganda out with some of your own, but at least admit you are open to some criticizing of the miliatary. in no ways as a whole, but individualy, where there ARE haenous war crimes that ARE committed and should be addressed. i believe the first responsibility lies with us doesnt it? anyone reading this going hoo-ah, great thread, talking about their miliatary experiences are the ones that are supposed to stop these from happening. quit making propaganda and clear our name if you wanna help the miliatary so much. be like the brave assholes in vietnam who landed THEIR chopper between the citizens being massacred, and the bloodthirsty soldiers. now they may have experienced so much trauma, so much fear because of the guerillas and may not be thinking clearly, but someone was, and put their lives on the line to save people that couldnt even say thank you, because it was the right thing to do.

and what was i focused on? was that negative? if it was i just dont know.. how is telling the soldiers on duty now to know what is right, and what is an unlawful order a bad thing? its not that simple. you are the only ones that can stop it from happening, but what is going to happen when the miliatary chooses you are no longer useful, and spits you out without a dime to eat? you become a cop, you become a merc, you become a criminal, or you actually can adjust to day to day life. if you dont know what the miliatary will really do to you that are in it, it is okay, just keep moving, and dont ask questions, be a good soldier, do what you are told, but you will see one day.
