I live about 30 miles north of Detroit, Michigan, so I am currently experiencing the first major winter storm to hit the Midwest and Great Lakes
region. Since there was no thread about it already I figured I would start one and throw in a few pictures of the storm from Minnesota and Wisconsin,
along with a few pictures of my own here in Michigan.
Here is an amazing video of the roof collapsing at the Metrodome in Minneapolis where the Minnesota Vikings play.
Here are some pictures of the storm from Minnesota and Wisconsin courtesy of
The Weather Channel.
(these two individuals are not too bright...)
And here are a couple of pictures of my own of my front and back yard, along with a one minute and thirty second video I made standing outside.
That loud sound you hear at about the 42 second mark was a large branch breaking off the tree I turned to look at. The snow has piled up pretty good
on the branches and power lines. Along with the strong winds, which have been about 30-40mph throughout the day, there have been a few branches down
and the electricity has flickered on and off quite a bit. Thankfully we still have electricity, though (obviously).
That's all I have. Hope you enjoyed the pictures and videos!
