Ok so my mom and younger sister live in an Apt and about 100 yards away run those parallel power lines

Anyway, she's been there for 15 years and is always sick, colds, can't sleep, the apt is very draining, and heavy, like there is some sort of vortex there. Then soon as you leave the apt you feel fine.

I have a psychic friend and she said there's just Bad energy ...not really any spirits or demons or anything that can be cast out ....basically she implied there some sort of vortex drain or something for whatever thats worth.

She still has 8 months on the lease and I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done to counter the effects of this, like some Orgone cones, some kind of faraday cage type shields, or something to that effect.

Im sure somebody here has some experience with these kind of deals????

My friend has sworn by this method. It is supposed to counteract the powerline's Magneticism and ley lines that could also be causing reverse magnetism. Reverse magnetism is what power lines cause.
Heres' the link
Healing negative ions lamp
It's worth a shot.

It sounds like there is an energy drain there. You only need someone to do a cleansing of spirit activity and then energy balancing. If you find someone adept enough, it should be fine within a matter of hours.

However, that "adept" would be able to tell you the exact nature of what's going on anyway. Someone will proffer assistance. Watch for signs of that help.

Actually one of these Salt lamps is sitting in the master bedroom ..... the negative effect is still ongoing. Have also tried sage/incense blessings/cleansings, holy water sprinkled everywhere (this was before I knew it may be some vortex or something) ....

So any other ideas?

I don't have a solution for you but it is not uncommon for some people to be more sensitive to high voltage and the accompanying electro magnetic field. Those that live near high tension wires, sub stations and large transformers can easily be subject to this.

The fact that your mom has lived there for so long has probably made her condition progressively worse over the years. Wait it out and move at the end of the lease or try to negotiate an early out due to health problems. After so many years in one spot, I would hope that your landlord would grant her a little leeway.

Sorry for her problems and I hope that moving away will alleviate her troubling symptoms. If not, it will be time to search for a more clinical cause of her problems. Hormone imbalances, inner ear problems, slow growing benign inner cranial cysts, etc can all produce a wide array of symptoms.

You must examine and rule out all possibilities clinical or otherwise.

In that case I would advise what jibeho says. There would be no other alternative. Moving is the only thing you've got left. If she finds someone willing to take the apartment and has the right background and such, then the landlord may be more apt to give her out of her lease.

throw a new coat of bright paint on the wall, air the place out, introduce some green leafy plants, get some sunshine into the joint, maybe some nice citrus scents, a parakeet that sings and chirps, wind chimes, maybe have some little kids over to change the energy of the place. kinda redo the furniture a little bit, too.

Be sure to check for can be in places where you don't see it. Mold can make you very sick, and also aggravate allergies..... high EMFs can do it too (except for the cold part). Possibly a combination of these things.

Some very good ideas listed here. Especially bringing in plants and rearranging the furniture.
You could also create a bubble of charged positive energy and expand it outward, filling the whole building. Push the energy into every closet, nook, cranny, crack. Don't limit it to just her apartment, do the whole building. Then while the energy is all over everywhere, make a big cup of hot water and dump in a handful of basil. Plain old dried basil that you use as seasoning works fine. Let that sit while you grab a broom and starting at the ickiest corner you can find, sweep the floors. sweep everything toward a doorway. Front door or back door or door to the balcony - whichever feels "right" to you. If her place is cluttered, sweep the pathways or whatever you can.
Now check on your cup of basil water. Charge it with energy if it needs it. Then using a clean cloth or sponge or bath poof or whatever, wipe down the doorways, window frames, door sills, etc. Including any closet doors.
If necessary, sweep around the doorways one more time, sweeping outward.
The place should be full of happy now.

So on to the two MOST important steps:
Shield the apartment and connect the energy of the shield to the earth or the universe or whatever your belief calls for.
And last, make certain that YOUR energy/life force isn't tied to all that work you just did. If you're tied to it, it can drain you when whatever's going on tries taking what you created.

For the sake of basic education, If the shielding is done right, you won't be drained even if you accidentally tie yourself to the shield. The cup of basil water shouldn't need to be charged. But if the place is very, very draining, it might need charging. The charged bubble of energy can be done first, or after the cleansing. Sweeping is a method of charging a house. A vacuum cleaner does not work nearly as well. Yes. You can sweep carpet. Washing glass light fixtures does wonders too.

This thread reminds me of a Coast to Coast AM show I just listened to last night about "Dirty Electricity".
Something you might want to look into.

Hmm.. Sounds like bad fung shui .. Hard to say without actually seeing the property to make a proper assessment.. From sounds of it best option would be to move..
