I always hear about america abusing its power by not signing treaties that would let the UN charge americans for crimes or for signing things that give americans immunity and other such things.

you know what? the 11th amendment of our constitution is why this is, see its meant to prevent foreign governments from gaining influence and control of americans and force their will on us, this is nothing bad and such treaties that protect americans from the UN shows that our leaders do care enough to defend our rights and not that america thinks it is better, or special or any of this crap i hear about it.

read it for a minute and think about what it says and what it means:

Amendment 11

The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.
