It runs in the family?

Thisa post is related to the theory of communication or seeing people that are dead. My mother (im 15) has seen my interest in the parinormal,aliens,religon, and other things you most likely can find on this site and has started telling me about her experinces. She has told me she has seen "ghosts" since a young age and is as she says sensitive, she does alot of meditation and is very spiritual (not in a christian relegion type way). There have been instences of us going to freinds houses that are old and her getting sensations in some rooms, once we where looking in her freinds attich(sp?) for some props for a play and all of a sudden she said that she was getting a huge feeling of depression and lonelyness in that room and started crying. She has told me that if you are to scared and not open to seeing "ghosts" that they usually do not show them selves to you.

I want to know do these things run in the family, and is there alot to be scared about when dealing with ghosts and other parinormal activities?

I would be inclined to say it does run in the family to a certain extent. People perceive different frequencies with their senses. I am sure this is in the genetic structure. As well, being open to it, may have to do with allowing yourself to perceive frequencies that are not in the standard to our basic human thought. But more and more, people are losing their spirituality, which I believe has more to do with restricting themselves.

It seems the younger generation is opening up to spirituality, myself included, even if their parents might not be so inclined. So I think you hit the nail on the head.

Well in a general sense that is true in my family, except it "skipped" a generation in my family. Well my father has some abilitys, he is a minor medium for spiritual activity. But my grandfather had(he passed away before I was born) a real talent for sensing spirits and having premonitions (well he predicted a train that derailed, about a hour before it happened). I am quite the medium as well, hell right now I "feel" a spirit that is trying to get me to goto bed so I can job hunting tommorrow. My grandmother always said the house was always full of spirits(or ghosts if you wish to call them that) around when my grandfather was around, no matter where they lived beit in australia, in a mining town called Atikokan, in pensylvania, and the state which my grandfather died, minnesota. The spirits left when my grandfather passed on.

But recently I've usualy gone up for the summer vacations(and just recently after I started practicing my abilitys) from school(now that I just recently graduated, i got to get a job, yay me) and my grandmother notices more of theses ghosts when I am around. While she see's the spirits in the house every few months, never in the quantity that are there when I am there.

And of course I do feel them. (some of them are not nice mind you, I get the feeling they were alcoholics before they died, i get the taste of whisky and hard booze[not common beer], very loose emotions and plenty of anger)

It does seem to run in the family. I know both of my parents have experienced paranormal activity. Also myself and siblings ever since we were children. I don't understand why.

I dont think its a genetic thing. Maybe they should look at the genes of a "psychic" and a normal person, and see if they find any differences. If they found a difference, maybe they could alter the normal persons genes to give them the ability to communicate with the dead, etc. COOL

I think it's possible, but it's more likely that people are just more inclined to psychic abilities because they would be more open to it. Well, I guess that would mean it runs in the family... Aw damnit, gimme a break, I'm tired!

Yea, I bet now that everyone has dormant genes that allow them pyschic abilities. Its just a matter of how active the genes are and how open they are to their powers.
