(Another wikileaks rant) Turn your head when someone takes a dump on your face.

(yes this is another wikileaks thread)

I have seen it here, and in person. Other people take a dump on a persons face, and the victim doesn't care. When the victim DOES care, he simply tells them nicely "Please do not take a dump on my face again
" The people taking a dump on a persons face, are the governments, and the person is you.

I went to a "rally" today, in Sydney, in defence of Julian Assange's human rights. I was expecting something meaningful, something akin to a group of outraged people speaking out. No, this was not what I saw. I saw a bunch of hippy kids holding signs in a small make-shift "kiosk", asking people to sign their petition, while around 15 policemen were within five - ten metres from the hippies location.

Is this what it's come down to? Where the majority that give a # when someone continuously takes a dump on their face simply ask that person to stop, in a nice calm manner, with a smile, heck, maybe you pay them to. Back in the 60s and 70s people knew how to make their voices heard, they broke rules, both hippies and non-hippies. They KNEW how to get the governments to listen, they didn't sit around in a little kiosk signing petitions. They organised outright moratoriums and protest.

Maybe it's just the australian people, maybe they haven't really had a severe enough wake-up call, maybe they've been indoctrinated to being more pacified? This is bull#. What the # is a petition going to do? Nothing. It is just a collection of signatures saying "Please don't take a dump on me again". Pathetic. This is in the US aswell. Don't you guys have designated "protest spots" in certain areas? Again, this is bull#.

If you want to have your voice heard, you have do things that the government will get upset about. What's funny is that while most of the macho, gun-totting, "i-wish-i-was-a-freedom-fighter" believe they are the first in line to fight for freedom; the only ones with big enough balls to do anything are a bunch of teenage kids or 20 year old boys on the internet DDOS'ing random websites.

It's not just my country, it's mostly everywhere. You americans pride yourself in a country founded on principles of freedom, and the "ability for the people to rise against tyranny" yet time and time again your government rapes you and takes a dump on your face, and all you do is turn your head. Yet when someone DOES do anything, you call that person a terrorist. I don't like using the word "sheep" as it's kind of cliche, but damn I would use it now. The world has to take a hint from the things occuring in the UK. THAT is how you get your voice heard, you EXPRESS your passions, not sign some damn piece of cry-paper.

This is my rant, feel free to # it.

(I dislike swearing, but i'm letting myself go)

PS: To the people that believe that wikileaks is a CIA front whose purpose is to allow complete control over the internet; If this was so, and the people are already riled up, this would only cause even more fury. The only way you can come out of this unscathed is to do something about it, something passionate, don't sit on your ass all-day drinking beer watching porn on your computer. Get out there and demand the truth, whether you support wikileaks or not. Some people are so goddamn afraid.

S&F.

So true. At least the UK people are making their point.

It's got me beat why things are like they are.
Maybe everyone is scared of losing their jobs and the pathetic money they earn for it?
Maybe the flouride in the water?
Maybe big pharma secretly discovered the 'Apathy Gene', and we've been dosed up to activate it?

Maybe nothing will happen until everyone has nothing left to lose?

Don't expect to see much while people still have $3 for a happy meal

It really is an enigmatic occurence isn't it? I just cannot fathom what would make people so apathetic, even when their leaders directly affect them negatively. And, I repeat myself, when they do care, they smile and tell them to "stop, please
"
