Former Alaska Sen. (1969-81) Mike Gravel, who was a "rock star" but got few votes during his 2008 run for the Democratic presidential nomination, tells The Daily Caller he's thinking about running again. This time, he's saying that members of the U.S. government "may certainly have" collaborated in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He also praised WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as a modern-day Daniel Ellsberg, whose leak of the Pentagon Papers led to Gravel's reading them into the congressional record in 1971.

Mike Gravel is a fiery Libertarian Democrat who ran for President in 2008. He received very few votes but his opinions at the time seemed radical. He is a ‘Truther’, anti-war, a civil libertarian, and was openly against Barack Obama. He believed strongly that our government was controlled by the Military [Congressional] Industrial Complex and railed against it during the debates. He called Obama, Clinton, and Biden a “threat” and “arrogant”.

This would be a very fun Democratic Primary challenge to Obama from the Liberal-libertarian left.

Huh, well that's cool then. I didn't know much about Gravel. I think our government would be better off if the choices were civil libertarians versus constitutional libertarians. That's a win win.

Why bother,

Obama will be the last president of the Current USA.

The US is decending into chaos and is hated world wide. Teh US will be over just as quick as it came about.

that is the problem with a country will weak history if any at all and no brains behind its movement.

i think our government would be better if parties and their ideologies were not involved.

this guy can be VP if Ron Paul can be P.

but definitely not P right off the bat.
