Now here’s a question: who has posed a greater threat to American security — the hacker Gary McKinnon or Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who was yesterday arrested in London in connection with rape and sex assault charges in Sweden? Mr McKinnon, who is autistic and in a fragile mental state, allegedly hacked into U.S. military and Nasa computers more than eight years ago. He passed no information to anyone. He published nothing. The United States suffered no damage to its national security from his activities, which involved a search for information about UFOs and little green men Read more:

And yet Mr McKinnon has been pursued with ruthless determination by the American authorities, who insist he be extradited and stand trial in the U.S., where he faces up to 60 years in jail. Read more:

Personally I believe what mcKinnon did if his motives are true, was a great feat on his and our behalf in seeking free energy,UFOs and the truth.
I do not think he should be extradited and if anything as has been exhaustively stated is being made an example.

Mr Assange, by contrast, is apparently completely sane and well aware of the consequences of his actions. He is in the process of publishing 250,000 confidential cables on his Wikileaks website, many of which have been carried by newspapers all over the world. Read more:

As far as wiki leaks & Assange I am all for freedom of speech, the truth and transparency just not at the expense of more innocent lives being lost.
Collateral damage is expected even on the cyber front in which things seem to be heating up rather quickly.

Let us just hope we can continue to get the information we desire and the truth that we deserve with as few lives lost and without war.We need to wake up,change and take back what is ours and rightfully belongs to us.

Thoughts and opinions?

The likelihood of the founder of WikiLeaks facing possible extradition to the US has strengthened with a number of senior American politicians declaring that he has breached the Espionage Act. Supporters of Julian Assange say they fear that his extradition to Sweden for alleged sex crimes will pave the way for a future appearance in an American court.

Meanwhile it was announced yesterday that Mr Assange's legal team will be led by the prominent Australian-born barrister Geoffrey Robertson QC, who has flown back from Sydney to take on the case. Mr Robertson, who has been involved in a number of high-profile human rights cases, could take the appeal against the granting of extradition to Sweden all the way to the Supreme Court, with legal proceedings stretching into months.

Time will tell.keeping an eye on these developments

We will see...I sincerely hope he does not get extradited imo.For his sake
if he does they will make sure anyway possible to keep him there, charge him with the book, illegal or we have seen before.Anything goes.

I read up on Mckinnon and he supposedly saw a high definition pic of a cigar shaped UFO over the northern hemisphere from a file and also a list of non-terrestrial officers in another database. I don't know if he's right or wrong, but after seeing that one guy who has been filming objects and craft in orbit through his telescope we may have a small space fleet in orbit.

Way I see it,anything and everything is possible.
Until it is experienced or known to be factual or false.

Or those behind the "politicians"! I was only suggesting the topic for arguments sake and to see everyone's opinion...Although as it seems to be the case not many people have responded either way

Neither is a threat to america.

One is a hacker with Aspergers Syndrome, who allegedly found evidence of UFOs when poking around in the US DOD files while stoned. He has no proof of anything and cant remember clearly.

The other is a journalist.

The behaviour of the people currently in washington and the banking cartel behind them is a danger to the future existence of america.

Neither is a real threat as both's sole purpose was to give knowledge of the actions of certain not so nice entities. The real threat is this radicalization of the ultra right wing base to the point whereas one stupid thing will set them off like a ticking time bomb.
