Just noticed this alert concerning our old friend 'Bird Flu'

The specific strain of [avian A/(H5N1) has been diagnosed in a 21year old man with no poultry or connections to wildfowl..... apparently he had been eating a cooked chicken when discovered.....

Just something to keep an eye on perhaps...

Sorry, just saw it under Event Description - one person and not very sick. Probably nothing to worry about but will keep an eye on updates.

Something a little more closer and to keep an eye on. At least for the kids...

MYFOXNY.COM - A 4-year-old boy from New Rochelle, N.Y., has died from an influenza-related illness, according to the Westchester County Health Department. He became ill in November and died of bacterial pneumonia, which can be a complication of flu, the health department said.

The health department will be testing the boy for the H1N1 virus, Fox 5's Dan Bowens reported.

They said the results should take about a week or so.
