Awesome Riot Footage in England

What kind of future is there going to be for the youth of America? What are all the people my age and younger going to look forward to? Freedom? More like indentured servitude.

If Americans really wanted a change, this is the type of action we would be taking. Grow a pair of nuts and get out in the streets and tell them how we really feel!

My heart goes out to the students and the working kids clashing in the UK right now. I wish i could be side by side fighting with you guys.

I fully endorse violent protest. We need it. IT OPENS PEOPLES EYES.

What are we waiting for? If we don't make a stand soon, we won't have anything left to stand up and fight for.

I also feel that there is a real feeling of hopelessness in UK politics, for a long time people went on about the 2 party system and how if only a smaller party could get into power then things might be fairer, and guess what a smaller party did get into a position of power and they instantly towed the exact same line of BS as the rest of them.

So people are kind of stuck for a democratic way of changing anything, we've tried all the available parties and they all suck

Thankfully major Australian banks have some degree of business acumen and did not partake of the nonsense that went on in the USA and Europe and our Government until recently has exercised some degree of fiscal responsibility so we do not have the structural problems elsewhere here.I believe 2011 will be a year of civil unrest in Europe as the people wake up to the fact that the people that caused the mess got billions in bailouts and not one was formally charged for it and that they get to pay for the bailouts of the Rothschilds and Warburgs of the world with reduced health,education and other government services,retirement ages being put up,pensions being cut etc,basically the poor get screwed for the actions of the greedy rich and inept government.

I dont expect civil unrest in America however if no revolution has allready occured over the biggest robbery in history in 2008 and nine none ever will.They deserve whatever fate befalls them im afraid to say.

We need a party like the BNP, but without the racism, the English Democrats sound good, but they are for a seperate England, not the UK.

Put the British people first, get the immigrants out, but keep in mind that being British doesn't mean being just white christian.

The only immigrants that should allowed to live here are the ones who face certain death in their own country.

Round here there are loads of Polish doing jobs that an unemployed Brit could do.

If there is a job that no Brit is qualified to do, fair enough.

I'm all for a multicultural society, as long as they were born here, at least until we are back on our feet.

It is the same situation in India Students are paying heavily for eduction at least we were lucky when it was almost free,my sympathies are with them.

Another fast growing group of protesters protesting the austerity cuts that has been building over the last few weeks, they are targeting the corporate tax dodgers! last weekend 21 cities where targeted..

BUT... this weekend (tomorrow) they are expanding the targets to include the High Street Banks with "mischief" in operation "pay day" to get the corporate tax dodgers to pay up

I think you'll find if you kicked out all immigrants in the UK, the country would grind to a halt pretty quickly. Which immigrants do you want to kick out? All those immigrants who come and play football here? the nurses and doctors which ensure we can have aan NHS? or just the ones you dont like.

The ones who are taking jobs British workers could do, and want to do, and the ones who are claiming benefits.

Doctors and those in specialist positions that can't be filled by British workers are fine, someone has to do the job, but a lot of companies are employing foreigners cheaply when they should be offering the positions to an unemployed Brit.

As much as your points are true it is also true to say that the British businesses have been going abroad to get staff as a way of avoiding training up people in the UK.

Neither you or I should pay for all the university fees out of our Taxes, nor should the students, Business should be Taxed to invest more in the UK since they are the ones who insist on degrees for even the lowest level roles, and it is that insistence they use as an excuse to bring in labour from abroad.

An NHS example of this practice, my neighbour is on a course that has dropped from 30 places to 15 as the NHS has decided it's cheaper/quicker to bring in the other 15 in from abroad.. While my brother was training from the bottom up to be a radiographer, but the NHS decided as another money saving scheme to create an intermediate specialist role with the same responsibilities at half the salary and half the training..

So unless my brother now quits his job, goes off and pays to train up to be a radiographer he has no hope of working his way up level, which means the NHS has no *cough* choice but to bring in radiographers trained abroad. these practices are detrimental to the UK.

The whole system is messed up and needs a refresh.. regardless of the skin colour of the Brit, or skin colour of the migrant the system we have now is a mess, Brits of all backgrounds are being shafted.

I was watching this play out on the news last night.I especially liked one of the protestors' banner that read " WE ARE NOT YOUR SLAVES" !!!!

All these posts about "taking it to the man" and "grow a pair" and "get out in the streets and show them whos boss" are really...really funny.

THEE only way to make any changes is the way you use that almighty dollar that sits in your wallet. Period. Don't vote for the mainstream propogandists from the right or the left and don't pay taxes. Boom. See what how quick change comes. Im not exactly advocating it, but thats how it would get done. A couple isolated protests? I think that plays into the hands of the governments. Pretty predictable Id say.

One election where no one votes, and one year where no one pays taxes...by by "tptb."

There wouldn't be a problem if our governments weren't helping American capitalist scum fight illegal wars. We're spending £5 billion a year on Americas illegal war. And the bailout. How much has the British government stolen from the people to subsidize bankers!

It's not that Britain has no money for education, it's that OUR money which should be going towards education has been given to bankers and pumped into an illegal war. It's about priorities. The British people don't want an illegal war, the British people didn't want to bail out the bankers. The British people want good 'free' education. The government are acting illegally, against the will of the people.

sorry but NO...., my sister is VP of Education and Welfare for the NUS in the UK. she is there now and has said several times on here msgs`s that right from the start it was a peacefull protest , and right from the start it was infiltrated by Anarchist groups and other groups like EDL, S7 and other extreme groups...all they were interested in was causing damage , when normal students and organiser`s of the lawfull protests tried to stop them `they `were attacked.

so what is it violence and anarchy or respecting the law ???

eg. what has smashing up Topshop and other criminal damage got to do with student fees ????

As ive always said. They try to control the people too much and fail to listen to the simple things we desire and should be getting then prepare for the mass population to stand up for its right to live a normal life. The MP's and so on forget that they are only in their position because we allow them too, they forget that they are only there because we allow them to be. If they continue to ignore us, people will take control.

The younger generation of today know when something isn't right and their intelligent to know right from wrong.
