The oil giant Shell claimed it had inserted staff into all the main ministries of the Nigerian government, giving it access to politicians' every move in the oil-rich Niger Delta, according to a leaked US diplomatic cable.

Nw they tried to censor this and it never worked..
Nigeria has a bad record of human rights and environmental distasters. Many of which are oil related.
This does on bode good publicity for such companies...
It is very hard to tell the difference between shell and the government in nigeria.
It was a few years ago that an entire village was razed to the ground and people were killed.
1995 executions of Ogoni leader Ken Saro-Wiwa, indicated a havy shell involvment. This is only going to strengthen that case/
