Yeah there are plans one for the army and one for the citizens (these are the ones we know of)

Was watching a show and they had all types of protocols and one advice they gave to the public was don't fire you weapons into the craft

Yeah, the big plan is for the president to do a Sadaam Hussein and go deep underground. But, the accomodations will be plush of course.
The military will do be the front line of defense. The average citizens well..... good luck...

My guess is that they will come here friendly in the beginning, but it will be our general stupidity and paranoia that will start the war.

"Superior Techonolgy" -- The sad truth is, if we faced a full-scale invasion of Earth by a hostile alien species with superior technology, all the U.S., U.K., or any of the 191 countries on Earth could do is sit back and kiss our a$$es goodbye. We have no planetary defenses; heck, we don't even have a presence in our own Solar System. We can barely make it to our Moon and back; they sent an army hundreds of light-years to get here -- and in full force, no less.

"Divide and Conquer" -- Besides the fact that our technology will be a joke compared to theirs, you can add the complication that the Earth has no truly united military force to fight off invaders from another planet. We're already divided, so the conquering would be even easier than in the optimum situation of a united Earth to fight the aliens. (Not that this would make a difference -- their superior technology would likely mean the aliens would have no need for a land, air, and sea war on the Earth's surface. They could just destroy us from orbit!)

"A Little Help?" -- Maybe, like we like to imagine in science fiction, another equally powerful alien species will show up to protect Earth from the invading alien species. Earth may be the little guy caught in the middle of two insterstellar superpowers; but at least we'd have protection until our technology could at least make us capable of truly defending Earth. Of course, we're just grasping at straws here... there may be no species friendly enough to help us, or close enough to do anything to help us. Our Sun is literally located at the outer edge of the Milky Way Galaxy; maybe we're too far away from any potential help, out in the "backwoods" where Earth can get raped by an agressive alien species without notice by our potential allies.

However, all things considered, I hope that the U.S., U.K., and any other major country has some sort of contingency plan in place in case of an invasion of Earth by an agressive alien species. It never hurts to be prepared, and even if we're going to lose, we've gotta try to defend ourselves! Just lying down and taking it won't help us at all, so we might as well fight!

You cannot plan a defence against an unknown attacker.How do you build a simulation if you don`t no who or what your attacking?.
Guys wake up the excistance of alien life forms have not been disclosed for the simple fact there aren`t any.Stop believeing in Hollywood ideas and wake up to reality.

Their plan is likely to get on a TR-38 and get the hell out of dodge, hehe....
