Technically innaccurate, because Julian didn't steal anything those documents were given to him.

When wikileaks provided Pvt. Manning with technical assitance, namely an encrypton program that allowed manning to encrypt the information and email it, where the encrypton program allowed the emails to bypass military security protocols for eamil, they took part in the theft itself.

So yeah.. stealing items that dont belong to him since the days of Die Hard.

First of all, there is no definitive proof that Bradley Manning is the source of the documents. Secondly even if it was Manning he stated he copied and downloaded the information onto a CD named Lady Gaga. This information was then given to wikileaks at a later time/place. Wikileaks encryption did not in any way assist in stealing of any documents - Wikileaks has no access to that information.

Then why is wikileaks providing money for Pvt. Mannings defense, when they are not doing that to anyone else?

In June of this year Assange stated he was putting together resources to defend Pvt. Manning in court, and one month later in July he went on record stating he had no idea who the source of the leak was..

Seems a little dubious...

Pvt. Manning was provided ith encrypton software so he could email the information he obtained without it being detected by military filters. This is talked about in many articles revolving around this case.
