Of course, now the Republicans oppose their own legislation

The Utah Republican was the chief sponsor of the DREAM Act when it was first introduced in the Senate in 2001 and, later, in 2003. But now, worried about a potential tea party challenge in 2012, Hatch is steering clear of the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act.

A decade trying to bring this up and pushed through, and now that Dems have agreed, it is abandoned by those that created it.

So...ultimately, someone proposed an idea. it was contemplated, then agreed upon by the other side..sure, lets do it.
then the initial someone said "Hell no we shouldn't!"

When put on a single individual, this is a troubling sign of mental illness.
