The real Craig Kasnoff (not Kasnov) was associated with Seti@Home and is a journalist not an astrophysicist. He contacted us via email (and has posted on several other sites) that he has never made such a statement. The "Examiner" is not a genuine journalism source as they allow pretty much anyone to join and create content.

E.T. does not need to phone home anymore, someone, or something is on it’s way to earth.

SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov has announced the approach to the Earth of 3 very large, very fast moving objects. The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers. Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.

A few very large objects rapidly approaching the Earth - says SETI astrophysicist Craig Kasnov. Don’t take his word for it you can check it out for yourself. He recommends

I'm wholy skeptical on this. I seriously doubt that there are aliens in giant ships on their way to us from a direction that's not visible to most of the planet. The whole article is suspect. But I put it out there for everyone to debunk.

I'm at work so i can't visit the site right now. but i'd like some of you to try and see what you find.

19 25 12 -89 46 03 - the first large object
16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object
02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle

I went and saw the objects. Big blue blobs - as described. As to what they are, well, I haven't a clue

Uh, I doubt it too. Sounds too good the be true, haha.
I wont believe it before the person from SETI comes on TV and tells it personally.

If not, I wont believe it

one would think that an astrophysicist would know the difference between an object and an artifact.

And as for the objects, well they are there.
But who can say what they are? who can just claim they are spaceships.
It could be everything, and then someone comes with a conclusion that it is a spaceship?

But who is Craig Kasnov? I tried to google it, and all that comes up is alot of other websites with the same information as you gave.

After reading the article from the link at your OP i tend to agree, with that Kasnov said.
