admin edit:This story has been debunked as a HOAX.
The real Craig Kasnoff (not Kasnov) was associated with Seti@Home and is a journalist not an astrophysicist. He contacted us via email (and has posted on several other sites) that he has never made such a statement. The "Examiner" is not a genuine journalism source as they allow pretty much anyone to join and create content.

3 Very Large Objects In Space Flying To Earth

E.T. does not need to phone home anymore, someone, or something is on it’s way to earth.

SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov has announced the approach to the Earth of 3 very large, very fast moving objects. The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers. Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.

A few very large objects rapidly approaching the Earth - says SETI astrophysicist Craig Kasnov. Don’t take his word for it you can check it out for yourself. He recommends

I'm wholy skeptical on this. I seriously doubt that there are aliens in giant ships on their way to us from a direction that's not visible to most of the planet. The whole article is suspect. But I put it out there for everyone to debunk.

I'm at work so i can't visit the site right now. but i'd like some of you to try and see what you find.

19 25 12 -89 46 03 - the first large object
16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object
02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle

I went and saw the objects. Big blue blobs - as described. As to what they are, well, I haven't a clue

Uh, I doubt it too. Sounds too good the be true, haha.
I wont believe it before the person from SETI comes on TV and tells it personally.

If not, I wont believe it

And I don't.

one would think that an astrophysicist would know the difference between an object and an artifact.

And as for the objects, well they are there.
But who can say what they are? who can just claim they are spaceships.
It could be everything, and then someone comes with a conclusion that it is a spaceship?
hmm.

Maybe they are ninja spaceships and the guy is trained to see them.

Much like in this picture.

Awh, just as I'm getting skeptical?

Can't wait to see what else comes out about this.

Haha yes, he might be trained for that!

But who is Craig Kasnov? I tried to google it, and all that comes up is alot of other websites with the same information as you gave.

Nice find OP. Thanks for sharing that info.

After reading the article from the link at your OP i tend to agree, with that Kasnov said.

In any case, the only thing we can do now - wait for it - says Kasnov. - Soon celestial objects will be visible in a good telescope.

Peace

The only information I can find of an astrophysicist by the name off Craig Kasnov just refers back to the original claim/article.

There is an astrophysicist by the name of Craig Kasnoff but I don't find him associated with this story. Those sure were purty blue blobs though and would of looked whack in the sky

SETI only use radio telescopes that search for signals, not visual telescopes right?

If it came from Seth Shostak (sp?) I would be more inclined to be worried. Never heard of this guy and he is not a typical rep. for SETI.

It's kinda like a football team having the towel boy announce the retirement of their star quarterback.

We have seen these pictures before btw. Months ago.

They sure look like pockets of gas to me.
