LONDON -- WikiLeaks supporters struck back Wednesday at perceived enemies of founder Julian Assange, attacking the websites of Swedish prosecutors, the Swedish lawyer whose clients have accused Assange of sexual crimes and the Swiss authority that froze Assange's bank account.

MasterCard, which pulled the plug on its relationship with WikiLeaks on Tuesday, also seemed to be having severe technological problems.

The online vengeance campaign appeared to be taking the form of denial of service attacks in which computers across the Internet are harnessed -- sometimes surreptitiously -- to

So it begins. Time will tell if he's got some good stuff hidden in reserve for his insurance file.

I have to think that this is going to be a Computer bloodbath. Maybe a World War-in cyber terms.

I am thinking the hackers won't be too damaging-if at all. I have this image of a bunch of kids sitting around in some hall with a boatload of computers-all trying to hack into these enemies of their leader/idol.

It's fasinating, really. Going to get real interesting soon.

Mastercard's securecode is down. This is getting serious:




MasterCard SecureCode is currently down. This means that all MasterCard and Maestro transactions cannot be processed via 3-D Secure. This is affecting all payment service providers and is not SecureTrading specific.
