3 cheers for anonymous. The banks are evil. Money is the root of all evil. Rich people conspire against the poor.

Make the internet seem to be the haven of porn-surfers and child molesters and it is effectively history in the eyes of the public as a whole.

Right, because its not viewed like that now.

Agreed in that it already has a tarnished(probably deserved) image...but I'm talking about killing the 'chic' appeal in the eyes of the everyman. Make it seem less hip and trendy and cool, and the dominoes will fall, IMO.

it's very hard to hack mastercard and interpol because they are smart enough to not use windows.

Glad it's amusing to you as some of us rely on these services to make a living, and conduct business. I wonder if you would feel the same way if I took some money out of your paycheck to give to my family? I bet you wouldn't be laughing unless mommy and daddy supply everything for you. Me I don't give a damn what they are doing to the average person is just wrong, anon if you want revenge take it out against the governments or the banks directly not the average person which you are doing right now.

Too bad they're only targeting the online sites

I'd rather they infest the credit card databases and wipe out my balance...

This is not 'hacking'. DDoS attack =/= 'Hacking'. DDoS attacks work fine if executed properly with right amount of resources regardless of their server of choice.

At any rate. Damn. I'm loving all of this. Had to go to bed like 40 minutes ago but reading this thread and looking for more info kept me up.

"Hey, dude! Can I use your bank account? My own account is frozen and I need some funds to be transferred to me. I'll give my friend your account details and he'll transfer the money there, then you withdraw it, okay?"
What happened here is Joe (the guy with the frozen account) was selling something online that he didn't even have. He managed to find a buyer who was willing to pay up front. The money was transferred and then withdrawn, the buyer never got his product.
Who should you go after? The trusting friend who owns the bank account or the actual thief?

This is not helping at all. People are starting to see Wikileaks as the bad guys, even more than before..

If they choose to target more sites that effect common people then it could be possible that 'anonymous' is a US government op to manipulate public opinion against Wikileaks - a cyber-false flag that would have the common press etc calling for their destruction just like they did for 'Al Qaeda' after 9/11...

Then again, it may be Wikileaks desire to target 'the common people' to get their attention - to sensitize them to this issue and affect a call for its resolution. dangerous game that could back fire as described above.

I guess the most plausible reason for their targets is that they feel that these wealthy institutions have enough influence to affect Assange's release.

Anon is relentless and even if mastercard is back up and made changes i expect Anon to adapt and take these sites back down soon. Not how i would do it think they should use exploits hopefully they damage the sites so bad they are totally wiped out, yeah i said it. As word spreads more Anon's will join the fight, Anon only gets stronger by the minute. The elite scum Bankers are getting hit where it hurts even if it is small peanuts they are so consumed with greed they will indeed get upset over this... and more so in knowing because they can be easily touched.

A gang of faceless elitist thugs worse fear, a Nation of faceless Anon's... they will not be able to take comfort in knowing they have complete control. Vermin swine like Joe Lie-berman will rile the senate to seize control of the internets just as emperor Palpetine - resemblance is uncanny in saying "we must act now they are terrorists" like the snake in the grass he is. I hate that SOB with a passion as much as Palin... why are imbeciles like these people walking the halls of the white house? Just insane.

I see people complaining how this is so illegal lol, well we are talking about lawless Governments doing whatever they want violating and walking all over the little man raping our human rights and breaking countless laws foreign and domestic. Poisoning the air we breathe and the water we drink for mere money that is worthless. Drastic measures are necessary and long over due imo. And for the people complaining how their business depends on paypal i have to say then complain to paypal how they suck. Maybe use another carrier? A small sacrafice as Anon fights for YOUR freedom...We have been economically enslaved by these credit card companies and banks , caught in a trap of debt.. sign your soul on the dotted line good sir.

Anon pwning these financial slave masters reminds me of the end of Fight Club

16:26 How many computers were in the voluntary botnet when you took down PayPal today? 16:31 One of my friends with a ~30k botnet was attacking, the hivemind had ~600 at the time, since we’d had a few server crashes. I was also attacking with a ~1.3k botnet.

Ahhhh it's so sweet.

In reply to an earlier question...yea there are Anon members who own parts of the Botnet, also, the word is that even old timers (Tribe and Warlords) from the irc bot wars in the 80s are now making themselves available to anon.

Forget whether you support Assange or not and realise " Net Freedom" is the principle they are fighting for. Get up of your ass, stop moaning and join them.

Respects
