You will need that gold to buy your hunting and fishing license. Which at this rate will cost 5 kilobar's each.

The kilobar, which is 1000 grams in mass, is the bar that is more manageable and is used extensively for trading and investment

Is it possible banks were taking phyical gold people stored with them, sold it to gain the profit from it, put the profit in their account, and hoped the people would not want their gold back physically anytime soon?

If you own a pond or have a stream that crosses your land you need no license to fish it. Besides if the crap hits the fan I doubt there will be some game warden worried about your license when he is looking to feed his own family.

Again, this is when money is worthless and things are bad all over.

You might be worried about a license I though, will take what I use and no more that nature provides freely.
