If you think about the irony of this article, Assange could be in jail for years fighting not to be sent to Sweden. This could be a very good thing.

Yeah it really is unbelievable.
It seems it's one law for the average Joe or Jill, and another one entirely for Assange.
It really is pathetic and only shows how desperately they want him and are prepared to do whatever

I am not sure whether this was alrady posted in tis (long) thread, but I just read in a german newspaper a little bit more about the case. It gives us a better idea, how substantial the charges realy are:

The woman's rights activist Anna A. (30) have supported Assange as press spokesperson trying to move the Wikileaks Center this summer to Sweden. He was living with her even as he, according to her , avoids hotel rooms - for fear of the secret services.
According to "Spiegel TV" both had a sexual relationship. However, not only with her Assange slept. He had also an affair with Anna's friend Sofia W. (26) at the same time. The triangular relationship was revealed, when Sofia was trying to get comfort from her friend, because Assange stopped communicating with her.
Two days later, the women went together to the police, to report rapes and other assaults.
At the same time Anna published on her blog a revenge Guide: Seven Steps to the just vengeance. "

For me this sound like to women looking for vengeance, because they got fooled by the same guy.

I don't believe the rape charges for a second and it works out good that he has been arrested. He will be safe for now and we will get the poison pill cables he talked about.

Yes its so obvious. They just re-opened the case because its such a lucky coincidence. Sweden wants to do a favor to the US. They will find out, that nothing really happened like a rape, but this will take time of course.

Probably enough time for the US, to find way to get him delivered on a silver plate from the swedish.

The charges against him are quite frankly , a Joke . This will lead the US Goverment to use the FCC in Order to Control All Future Access to the Internet using Wikileaks as an Excuse . People must Speak out Now Against their Facist Agenda to do this and make their Voices Heard in Washington and on the Streets if Necessary . I think Alex Jones explains it best here..............
