"Dozens of Israel's municipal chief rabbis have signed on to a new religious ruling that would forbid the rental of homes to gentiles in a move particularly aimed against Arabs://www.haaretz.com/news/national/dozens-of-top-israeli-rabbis-sign-ruling-to-forbid-rental-of-homes-to-arabs"

this is religion at it worst! These are not just neighborhood Rabbis but Cheif Rabbis whose words are close to law. I have seen MANY posts here that say there is no discrimination in Israel. There is more to it than just ordering Jews not to rent to Gentiles. If in fact they do rent they get a "caution" and if they continue they are pretty much ostersized. Thats a tremendous amount of pressure on a jew that wants to do the right thing. In any case it is just one more example of Israeli jewish discrimination.

It isn't about religion, it's about discrimination caused by religious leaders that have a lot of control over the people

Buncha idiots is what they are..

At any rate only orthodox Jews actually follow the commands of these clowns, the rest of the Israelis don't really follow any of this crap..

The signatories also called on the religious community to voice support Rabbi Eliyahu, who could face trial for incitement against Arabs. Minority Affairs Minister Avishay Braverman has also asked Justice Minister Yaakov Neeman to begin the process of suspending Eliyahu immediately from his post as municipal rabbi.

Lucky the country isn't run by them...

Any way, a complaint or a law suit is bound to come, this will not go down quietly.

Oh and also-

Most of the signatories to the letter are from Safed, a city that has seen an increase in its Arab student population that is enrolled at the town's local college.

So it's not really that big a deal..

This is only in response to americas disallowing Israel from building in East Jerusalem. Orthodox jewish families are quite large. So, if they cant expand and build on the land thats rightfully theres, than they have every right to tell Orthodox families not to rent out to Arabs. IE;, Jewish families need it.

Theres a major housing crisis there. Already, small apartments have up to 10 people living in it.

That will probably change real soon. 70% of Israeli second graders are haredi. Thats what happens when each family has 7- 10 children.

You know a Palestinian can be locked up for life if he sells his home to an Israeli? check the Palestinian laws, it's there. It's a two way street.

I almost want to slap that idiot Jew in the face.

i know its harsh and i dont mean it but, JUDAISM is Zionism.

how can any Jew follow the Torah without taking to heart its greatest edict -- To live in Israel. Judaism is the only religion on Earth that is land centered. When the were exiled in 200 CE by Hadrians massive campaign against Judaism (40 % of Romes legions) he ransacked 985 Judean Towns, and killed up to 650,000 Jews. After that, he salted the earth of Jerusalem (which is why it layed desolate for so many years).

During the Jewish peoples exile they have yearned to return. Every Rabbiic work finishes off "and may G-d have mercy on us and return us to our land".

What kind of people wait 2000 years to return to their land, and in every generation, renew this desire? Everyday the Jews of the diaspore woke up, face Jerusalem and said the Shema. They did it again in the afternoon and again at night. For 1800 years.

And now this woman is saying she has no right to live in Israel?? WHY? Because arabs from the transjordaan have covinced the world that they are its native inhabitants? so the world should just forget about this unique case which the Jewish people represent?

To me its very unfair, and very harsh the atttitude the world has taken against the Jews. They had two kingdom in Israel. 1st temple and the 2nd temple. They were Forced out in a very cruel manner by a roman emperor. They have waited for a interminably long time to return. There are tens of thousands of works - from the Taolmudic era through the middle ages and the chassidic times, where the Jews beg G-d in their writings, to return. Even during the exile the Jews had a presence in Israel. In Hebron, Shekem, Safed, Jerusalem, Gaza, Beth-El.....

so...what about this? What about their national dream, which is unlike any case in human history. Stomp on it? and say it isnt legitimate?

While I understand your frustration, why would you want to slap her in the face? She's probably on the Palestinians side and doing this to prove a point. Not the other way around.

Just wanted to point that out.

I completely understood that. Thats why i have this anger against her.

Jews should understand the situation of their own people. And defend the merit and history of their own people. She should understand, that Judaism is a land centered religion.

But than again, shes probably a liberal, Judaism hating Jew, who could care less about that..hence her lending support to the palestinian cause/

JUDAISM is Zionism.

No it isn't...

The truth is that the Jewish faith and Zionism are two very different philosophies. They are as opposite as day and night. The Jewish people have existed for thousands of years. In their two thousand years of Divinely decreed exile no Jew ever sought to end this exile and establish independent political sovereignty anywhere. The people's sole purpose was the study and fulfillment of the Divine commandments of the Torah.

The Zionist movement created the Israeli state. The latter is a persuasion less than one hundred years old.

Its essential goal was and is to change the nature of the Jewish people from that of a religious entity to a political movement. From Zionism's inception the spiritual leaders of the Jewish people stood in staunch opposition to it.

To this day Torah Jewry remains forever loyal to its faith. Zionists want the world to believe that they are the representatives of the entire Jewish people. This is false! The Jewish people never chose them as their leaders. The Zionists have deceived many well meaning Jewish people via terror, trickery and false propaganda. They have at their disposal the use of a nearly universally subservient media.

- SOURCE

There are in fact many Jewish movements, groups and organizations whose ideology regarding Zionism and the so-called  "State of Israel"  is that of the unadulterated Torah position that any form of Zionism is heresy and that the existence of the so-called "State of Israel" is illegitimate.

No one has had to create any antagonism between our Torah and Zionism because such antagonism exists by virtue of the essence of Judaism itself, which can never tolerate the heresy of Zionism.
Zionism is wrong from the Torah viewpoint, not because many of its adherents are lax in practice or even anti-religious, but because its fundamental principle conflicts with the Torah.

No, she saying she would be paid to, and the state of Israel says that he couldn't.

Because of the illegal settlements and Jewish only communities on land where her and many more used to call home before being uprooted by the Government of Israel.

Because arabs from the transjordaan have covinced the world that they are its native inhabitants?

Were the Arabs that once lived on land that's since become an illegal under International law Jewish settlement, not "native" inhabitants?

No, but the Israeli Government is unwilling to cooperate. Should the World just ignore the crimes of the Israeli Government because of events that took place decades ago in Europe and involved millions of other people.

If the "religious" claim of the Zionists is true that they were to be led to the promised land by their messiah, and Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of that prophesy: where is their messiah whom their prophets said would get the credit for leading them there? It was Ralph Bunche who "negotiated" the Zionists into possession of Occupied Palestine! Is Ralph Bunche the messiah of Zionism? If Ralph Bunche is not their messiah, and their messsiah has not yet come, then what are they doing in Palestine ahead of their messiah?

Did the Zionists have the legal or moral right to invade Arab Palestine, uproot its Arab citizens from their homes and seize all Arab property for themselves just based on the "religious" claim that their forefathers lived there thousands of years ago? Only a thousand years ago the Moors lived in Spain. Would this give the Moors of today the legal and moral right to invade the Iberian Peninsula, drive out its Spanish citizens, and then set up a new Moroccan nation ... where Spain used to be, as the European zionists have done to our Arab brothers and sisters in Palestine?...

In short the Zionist argument to justify Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine has no intelligent or legal basis in history ... not even in their own religion. Where is their Messiah

Maybe you should read the torah, NEO V

The most oft mentioned command is for the Jewish people to LIVE in Israel. Therefore the kernal of the concept of Zionism, is for the Jews to live in Israel. Political secular zionism is a false mutant misrepresentation the fact that the Hebrew word "zion" means marker, and refers to the place where G-d marked as his place to 'dwell' on earth - the temple mount. Zion is a religious idea. Zionism, as we politically understand it, is a gross, cruel misappropriation of a religious Jewish yearning to return to their homeland.

Unfortunately, liberals exist. And the zionist liberals in power promote the same attitude and philosophy as the western world. They have rejected Judaism, as explained in the Torah. They do not follow in any way shape or form, Judaism. I can only think of one elite Jewish financer who took his Judaism seriously, and that was Moshe montefiore. And he was constantly harassed by the other elite he sometimes spent his time with.

The site you sourced is only one opinion, and clearly not a very popular one, since there are 600,000 Haredi Jews already living in Israel who believe this false, secular atheistic state is the 'night' which precedes day. As this is the Torahs idea of 'process' (it was night, and it was day). And indeed, most people see darkness, or chaos, as preceding light or order. The current state of Israel is bad, and a abomination. But, the religious Jews who vehemently reject the state are such a small minority; and its not that other Jews havent understood with their position. They understand. But they disagree, and they find their support of antizionism counter-productive and only giving moral validity to the enemies of Israel.

The fact that 70% of 2nd graders in Israel are Haredi shows that they know what theyre doing. The secular Jewish state will be overturned. Whether through intifada or a referendum. Israel will return to its G-d ordained purpose, which is to dwell in the land where Jews can perfrom the will of G-d, as deliniated in the Torah of Moshe.

The Palestinians will than be removed, peacably. Similar to the innumerable other cases in history where whole populations were forced by the sword to live elsewhere. In this case, Palestinians will undoubedtly be offerred reparations, if they left in peace.
