Guess they'll have to make the "Bank of the Universe" next. Lender of last resort to the world bank.

Any news on the bank run yet? The day is half over! Maybe they all couldn't get through the snow and had to postpone it.

oh Dan
a quote from that link u provided
just broke my heart

BRITAIN IS FREEZING TO DEATH
MIDDLE class families are among millions of Britons who cannot afford to heat their homes this winter, as elderly ride on buses all day to stay in the warm.

An even sadder fact is that many people here in the UK have prepaid electric and gas meters, you need to pay cash at the paypoint in local shops to get your fuel.

Lets just hope these bank runs don't leave the cashpoints dry so people can't pay for the much needed gas/electric.

Thats a side to these bank runs that many people seem to be forgetting.

I have many elderly neighbours who go to the bank each day and draw out just enough for thier food and fuel.

Hopefully none will die because there is no money left in the bank.

CX.

I haven't found much on the internet about this yet. What is going on over there? Can someone report? Anything besides Facebook? Thanks.

????

my remaining $23.00 will be
withdrew soon as I start
my errands.

"withdrew", the past tense...but you haven't done it yet? (word you were grasping for, there is "withdrawn").

Where do you store your time machine?

I predict this latest "effort" will be about as effective as the big TSA scanner avoidance "revolt", on the day before Thanksgiving....

You seem to be forgetting that planned the TSA protest worked.

The government quietly suspended all scans and enhanced pat downs for the holiday.

That's the reason there was no scene at the airports...nothing to protest.

Keep in mind that the majority of the world's money is not cash.

It's 1's and 0's.

Running out of paper money has no effect on transferring 1's & 0's from one account to another.

It's actually the system that they are pushing for.

Unfortunately, if everyone takes the same attitude of waiting to see what happens then nothing will happen.

Actually, it looks like nothing has already happened.
I'm in the US and by my mourning Europe is well into their day.
Nothing happened.

I thought about it as I was trying to go to sleep last night.
Best idea I came up with was paying all my bills and converting the rest into Silver.
A bank run would make silver climb like crazy. If you can get in early you can come out ahead.

Silly peasants think they can hurt the banks by withdrawing their minuscule about of money from the banks. You make us bankers laugh. hahahahaha

Well thank heavens nothing happened. This was a brain dead idea that would only have hurt ordinary those not 'in' on the big plan.

Good thing I don't like the idea of my money being in the bank.
