The X-37B spaceplane has returned home after a successful mission.
The U.S. Air Force's robotic, unmanned craft landed at Vandenberg Air Force Base 130 miles outside of Los Angeles early this morning after seven months in orbit, The Associated Press reported Friday.
Details of the project remain wrapped in secrecy, but the Air Force has said the purpose of the mission was to test the performance of the spaceplane itself.
