WikiLeaks will publish more secret US diplomatic files relating to aliens and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), said the founder of the whistleblower website Julian Assange and claimed his life was at risk after the recent expose.

Assange revealed he would publish classified US files about aliens and UFOs.

According to the Daily Mail, none had so far satisfied the twin publishing criteria for WikiLeaks: that the documents are original and not self-authored.

If Mr. Assange publishes the files on UFOs and aliens, would it fire up the morale of ufologists and UFo enthusiasts?

He never mentioned Aliens in the Q&A. All he said was they will be releasing documents that talk about ufo's. This has totally been blown out of proportion. The way he answered the question tell me its not important information at all, but as usual, the hardcore believers will come out of the closet again and say this will be disclosure!

That's the Daily Mail for you. Trying to sensationalize a story. What Julian said was, "There are references to UFOs in yet-to-be released diplomatic cables. He did not mention "aliens" anywhere.

All this could be is a US diplomat saying, "Some locals reported what they thought was a UFO sighting."

Don't get your hopes up.

Just for the record, here's what he actually said in the real-time chat:

Mr Assange, have there ever been documents forwarded to you which deal with the topic of UFOs or extraterrestrials?

Julian Assange: Many weirdos email us about UFOs or how they discovered that they were the anti-christ whilst talking with their ex-wife at a garden party over a pot-plant. However, as yet they have not satisfied two of our publishing rules. 1) that the documents not be self-authored; 2) that they be original. However, it is worth noting that in yet-to-be-published parts of the cablegate archive there are indeed references to UFOs.

These references will probably be nothing more than Embassy chit-chat about the already publicised MoD releases which contained nothing of real significance. His uncomplementary reference to 'weirdos' is a bit of a give away as to what to expect. NADA.
