Sign of the Times: Baton Rouge, LA - Plasma Donation line wraps around building...at 7AM!

I took a different route to work this morning. This is a picture of people waiting in line to sell plasma at the plasma center near our office. I was shocked. You can't see it in the pic, but that line wrapped completely around the building... at 7AM.

we are biometrically scanned free range organ donors.

Average rate...what about $40?

Average time to get in and out...about 10 hours?

$4.00 an hour?

How long does a crack high last?

Is it worth it?

Thats not worth it at all. Thats a wasted day.

i assume she means the pigs (the man, tptb) but i could be wrong.

Wish we could sell ours over here, you have to give it for free, i could do with the cash, oh sorry did i say free, you get a cup of tea and a couple of biscuits as payment.

Big difference in donating blood and getting paid for plasma.

When you have no money, no job in site, and your belly is empty, sitting around for 10 hours to get $40 is a whole lot more than one would get sitting around 10 hrs doing nothing, stressed out.

Crack high? That is assuming that everyone depicted on that line is a crack addict. I seriously doubt that they would accept someone who did not meet certain health standards.

It refers to a great song by Bob Marley ("Babylon System") about the system that has been put in place by TPTB that enslaves the masses (and has done so throughout history). The pic OP posted takes it to a literal level with the masses selling blood for cash. The lines will grow. Some may do it for drugs, more and more will be doing it for food...
