Brain power concentrated in smaller U.S. cities

Forget New York, Chicago and even Los Angeles, brain power in the United States is concentrated in smaller cities with Boulder, Colorado and Ann Arbor, Michigan at the top of the list.

Is this more then a trend but a statement of our society?
Agencies, government, schools, etc. everything seemed to work better in small scale but when increased in size due to population growth it is all going south.
Do any of you think as our cities & world grows bigger eventually the masses will grow dumber. If you follow this to it's ultimate conclusion there will only be a handful of 'smart' ones left for all other to follow. Is there some other power at work in this or is this just coincidence?

i wounder if its got to do with the food and water avaliable

America is getting dumber! The country voted George Bush in for a second term. They think Sarah Palin is competent enough to be president. The drop out rates in high schools are at their highest they've ever been. Kids don't know how to speak intelligently. They use foul language in every sentence they speak. We've had generations of families living on welfare who fail to teach their kids the importance of education. Teenagers are having babies. We have high school graduates that can't read or write at a fifth grade level. Generations have become disrespectful to authority and their elders. They've become lazy, unmotivated and their work ethics are terrible. The media has reduced the intelligence of our country to watching reality TV, rich celebrity brats and MTV shows that make our kids think that violence and treating young women disrespectful is normal social behavior. If I remember correctly, we rank 14th among other industrialized countries in math and science.

We're living in a sad time and the future looks bleak. America is destroying itself from within. Small city or larger city, their both getting dumber.

This is a good thing, city's were never meant to be the oversized monstrosity's that NYC, LA etc have become.
Small, planned and independent city's with clever people is the way forward
