WikiLeaks now storing files in 'James Bond' bunker

edition.cnn.com

"If Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is trying to turn himself into a Bond villain, he's succeeded: the ongoing distributed denial of service attack against Wikileaks has forced his minions to move the site to a fortified data center encased in a cold war-era, nuke-proof bunker encased in bedrock. Really."

I'm tired, in a way
, of all these Wikileak posts... However with the mind-set of ATS I thought it'd be a good post.

I believe torrent sites such as piratebay.org and torrentspy.com are hosted in the same manner and/or location.

Good read.

That makes no sense at all. How on earth can concrete and steel stop a data attack over internet lines?

I think someone is pulling our legs here.

EDIT:

EH forget it, I should have read the whole article before I said anything lol. Now I want one for myself

This is old news...I wonder why CNN is just reporting this now? I remember reading a thread about this a month ago or more here on ATS.

lol, cool bunker..But they are only hosting his site.
He doesn't own it..
I'm also sure his files would be copied to many locations.
A lot of them less dramatic than this one..

s&f for the cool bunker..

If you believe some threads it's George Soros..
Wonder what breed of cat he has?

The physical location of the files storage is not that much of an issue.
It's maintaining access to the data and the ability to broadcast it.

Note that ALL of Wikileaks' mirror sites went down last week too.

Far better to have 1000's of mirror sites in kitchens all over the World than some master
file storage inside a mountain that everyone now knows the location of.

Well, that's the case with the insurance file, isn't it? Supposedly.

Who are they?
(Don't know)

What do they do?
(Steal private data, and post it)

What is their agenda?
(Their own)

Who are they answerable to?
(Nobody it seems)

Where are they?
(They hide)

If you want a consipracy it's right under your nose.

Wikileaks are completely off the chain now.
They fail the most basic tests.

Used to be good perhaps, but now...?

They appear to be outside of enforceable law, doing what they want.

That's called 'anarchy' and I request and require that they be stopped.

What actual 'good' are they now doing?
Just spreading gossip that cannot be proven as true.

I say they 'lost the plot' now.

Used to be good, but smell the obvious basics about how they are now acting.
