The Mises Institute’s Jefferey Tucker takes us on a walk through history as he explains the historical origins of socialist theory and how it is
applied today.
This is yet another “must see” speech by Tucker, who is one of my all time favorite speakers.
During one point of his speech, Tucker asks the audience to envision the entire State apparatus we have today taken and transplanted upon the people
of a middle ages Europe.
Then he asks the question, “Would the people of the middle ages have prospered more or less under such conditions?”
Fascinating to think about.
Obviously the people of the middle ages would have all died of famine and in total abject poverty if they had to labor under the burden of the insane
kleptocracy we have today.
