Looks like there was a 5.2 aftershock shortly after. Hope everyone is ok.

It seems this region has had a lot of quakes in the last few months.

According to Global Frequency of Earthquakes a 6.9 is equal to the force of an atomic bomb like the one dropped on Hiroshima.

Also I think someone posted a 6.0~ earthquake in the dead sea earlier.

It seems like a lot of seismic activity is going on lately. I wonder if this has anything to do with the End Times in the Bible where it says there will be earthquakes in various places.

Interesting, but I lost interest around the time someone said.....

" I wonder if this has anything to do with the End Times in the Bible where it says there will be earthquakes in various places."

Why cant something just be "natural" and not prophetic?

Because I'm a human being with a brain and emotions.
Does talking about God make you feel uncomfortable?

By the way, we are on a conspiracy website. It is to be expected.

Theres a religious forum for that, and a prophecy forum.
This is about earthquakes.

Which are natural events.

Why do people always gotta digress or bring religion and prophecy into every event that occurs.

Was there not a 6.6-6.9 earthquake in Japan earlier this week?

This is quite strange to have two earthquakes in one week in two separate regions of the Pacific both measuring around the same magnitude.

as i come from this part of the world, i have been following with interest the rumblings their in the last 12 months. if you look on the rsoe map, you will notice also the amount of volcano pics. this area has shown a marked increase in the number of earthquakes and volcanoes in the last 12 months. although this area is renown for activity, it definately has increased recently. would like to hear someone more knowledgeable than me on this subject regarding this region.

The Haiti quake was about the same magnitude and the recent Christchurch quake was 7.1.

On the plus there is little built up to be damaged, whilst negatively it's pretty shallow and may have caused a Tsunami. No Tsunami warning here in NZ yet though and I would have expected a warning to be issued if there was a danger.

When you drive a car without oil in it, what happens? The engine seizes because there is no lubrication in the moving parts. We are draining the oil out of this planet, what do expect is gonna start happening as plates move against each other, there is gonna be a lot more friction. And I do believe it is all how it is predicted in the bible

this is the second time this week that i have heard this theory. i was told by someone else who has done a lot of research in this area that with all the oil, gas and coal being taken out of the ground, something has to give. when you think about, it doesnt seem so far fetched.
