I have a campground with 100 spots and this year it looks like a record year for people needing a place to stay. I have a couple living in a VW wan camper with 2 large dogs. There's 6" of snow and people want to move in for the winter in tents. For 100$ more a month they could rent a house I think really they are pissed off at the system. When the census came through nobody answered their letters. I handle the mail and of the 15 people here on long term not one sent it back.

Dadio has made some good points.
Why is American in trouble? Remember our forefathers made it clear.
We are to be under the laws of God, "NOT MAN". The Ten Commandments.
That it folks, only 10 laws apply to US. Really are these laws so hard to uphold?
I think NOT!
Oh ya, The corporations does not want the ten commandments on the court house lawn "WHY"
Now what does God say about this poor guy
Please read Exodus chap 20; verses 16 & 17.
The simple laws God instructed us.
For those who do not believe in God, still these laws are very simple.
I see many things differently then most of these posts.

You mean like Romans 13:1 NIV:

"Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

Instituted by god, tainted with human sin.

I suppose if I'm being violently raped that's god will as well and I should submit?

Isnt my rage and resistance also god's will?

Like two basketball teams praying before a game. Whose side will god choose?

Hell, if "god" is all for these "authorities" maybe my beef is with him. God can suck my balls right along with the king.

If he 'owns' the land AND he is 'camping' in a non-permanent structure (the camper must be operational) AND he is causing no environmental issues for his neighbors AND there is no statute in force that limits camping, THEN the city or county has NO CASE!

He isn't camping. That's the issue. He 'lives' there. And to live somewhere is to be a resident, and to be a resident requires your residency i.e. housing follows certain building codes.

Arizona had a very similar issue last December. A woman had purchased a relatively new home, the condition seemed quite well. However she was struggling financially and opted out of paying for electricity. So she powered the essentials on solar panels, and the rest on batteries.

The issue? Her home lacked power for AC/Heat. So in the midst of winter, the government thought it would be better to evict her from her safe home for failing to comply with building codes (which really only exist if you plan to RESELL the home). Long story short, she ended up sleeping in her vehicle as opposed to her warm and safe home without electricity.

I am referring to the Ten Commandments.
Thou shall not steal,
(bear false witness) Like another user posted "out of sight, out of mind".
The most simple of laws.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Basic & Simple
Interesting how lawyers made the laws, and kept the back doors open.
So as to escape with out getting their hands dirty.
This has been very interesting reading
cheers!

You are correct. To live "Free" is really all that counts. It is the "money" thing. That's why so many cities, counties, states and Fed agencies come "snooping" around. They just want your money and in time take what you paid to have in your lifetime. A "list" with a plethora of adjectives used to describe these so called "officials" can be found on the internet. I have a few "choice" words of my own used to describe them.

"Man Getting Evicted from Land for living "to simply""

This doesn't make sense? Do you mean too simply?

Alexandria is a great little city, officially called Small Town USA, this by the way has NOTHING to do with the city government.

This is not new. Why do you think you need building permits and have inspectors come to your house? This is not only going on in the US. It's everywere. And I think it goes deeper than just NOT paying your dues.

If you look at the way Health Care is run. How you fondamental right to know about natural medecin is taken away by a law that states that you can not say that something is a cure if the FDA says it's not. Example : Vitamin C is the CURES for scurvy...it is. But since Vitamin C is not considered "medecin" by the FDA; it's illegal to says that it's a cure. Scrwed up huh?!

The laws that are approved and the way of life that is imposed upon us (commercialism, capitalism) are made to keep us indoors and to rob humanity of our survival skills. LIke fishing and hunting for instance. It's our right to fish and hunt. It's not a previledge. IT"S OUR RIGHT!! But they keep you from developing those skills by having you buy a permit. You don't have money to pay for that permit? Ohhh! too bad, sooo sad. Then you can't learn to fish or hunt. You can't live off the land any more. S.510: Food Safety Modernization Act takes care of that. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This has been happening for hundreds of years. In the 1400's and 1500's the Vatican sent witch hunter to kill the Wicka. They lived off the land and cured people with herds, roots..what ever they could use. The only difference today is they don't burn you at the steak any more. Well, not in the Americas anyway.

@ 19rn50

FIrst off let me say that I don't want to offend you in any way but I don't believe that the curch should be anywhere but in the homes of people who practice and at church. I find it sad that people, even today, beleive so whole heartedly in religion. Have you looked into the history and the facts about religion. The bilble it's self has been re-written at least a dozen times to accomodate the people in power. The Vatican it self is teeming with the Elite and the corrupt. The Catholique religion is the richest institution in the world. Just look at all the gold in the churches. That's not just for show, it's as good as money in the bank. They could by small 3rd world country where people are starving and help develope it but they don't ....why? "Do onto others" they say?...What a croc!! Don't get me wrong the message the bible passes on is the best message ever passed on. Love and help eveyone. But it's kind of hard to believe in an institution that has murded, maimed, raped, plundered...even were the cause of certain genocides.

Hears the good news. Just as you have forced everyone to play the advanced civilization game(taxes, money, the rich rule over the poor) and cast the ones out for not playing the game....you will be forced to play the game of no electricity, no grocery stores, no satellites, no iPhones, no tv, no radio, no money, no cars, no water, no sewage.

See how ya like it when the tables turn and you are forced to play the game or die.

Its near....

You are entitled to believe what you want. Those that truly believe in the Almighty do not put their trust in churches, religions or in men and traditions. They trust in God alone. The "hi jacking" of today's churches was prophesied over 2000 years ago. That's why it says in Mathew Chapter 24 verse 4; "Take heed that no man deceive you". These are the words of Jesus. You do not have to believe them. Then take a look around you and ask the question: "who is deceiving who"? Jesus knew then that man would try to distort his plan. He warned us of it and told us of it. "By their fruits ye shall know them". Now it is happening and there are plenty of liars and false prophets telling us that it is not happening. You decide for yourself. Any one that puts their utmost trust in "man" or man made religions are fools. The atheists say that God does not exist. The bible names them also in Psalm 14:1
During these troubling times I find peace reading Psalm 144:1 "Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth MY HANDS to WAR and my fingers to FIGHT". Never confuse what God says with that of what men do in their lives. All have sinned except Jesus. His pain....our gain.

What, they don't have Amish people in Indiana?

Is it even legal for the county to do such a thing?
