America "bossing everyone around?" That is just the problem right there, because it is not true. If you want to see countries that boss people around, look at the United Nations (though not all of the UN, for example I do not mean the United Kingdom, as they are in Iraq with the U.S. right now, but a good deal of the UN still), one of the most corrupt organizations on the face of this Earth. The main reason they hate the U.S. right now is because Bush doesn't "suck up" to them the way Clinton did.

Bush allows them to have no say or control over what the United States does within itself. This may initially sound bad, but the reality is that the UN has no intentions of controlling the United States to prevent it from becoming too bossy of a superpower. What it does have in mind is utilizing the U.S. for its own means and gains.

As for sharing, we do not live in a world where if one country works to obtain its wealth and power, that it should automatically "share" it with the rest of the world, the way the socialists believe. Yes, there are people starving, and yes, they need help, but the U.S. should not HAVE to help with that kind of stuff.

Morally, we should though. The UN, however, seems to not even try to help there. The UN soldiers in Africa recently threw their uniforms down even, because they were not allowed to stop a mass slaughter that they could have stopped, and the soldiers couldn't believe it.

As for the Chinese person's view, it should more be, "Look at America, how successful it has become; well, China, should become that successful too in the future."

Instead, however, many of the Chinese people view America as a bully and a legitimate threat (nevermind that it was Clinton who gave the Chinese advanced missile technologies). The Chinese media was completely anti-American during that whole spy plane incident (like America would have a high-tech SPY plane of things crash into a Chinese fighter plane on purpose).

China does not take into consideration that it is America that is one of the main proponents allowing its economy to grow. It is America that gives its people more jobs by having things manufactured over there. Without that, a lot more Chinese would be jobless. It is America who buys the products the Chinese produce. It is America that gives China the advanced manufacturing technologies that allow it to grow economically.

And what does China show for it? An anti-American media, which leads to an anti-American mindset in the population, China bending economic rules left and right to favor itself (China is far more of a bully in that sense), and telling the U.S. to back off of Taiwan.

They are allowed to own one of our energy companies yet we cannot own any of theirs, etc...China is not to be trusted. They are doing everything they can to become a superpower and they are doing everything to benefit themselves in the process.

Yes, superpower status is one of the goals of the Chinese people. The average Chinese person sees the 1.3billion population and goes "why can't I have wealth and influence across the globe"? Who are these Americans, with 1/4 of our population, who think they can boss everyone around?

Of course, every country on the planet want to be a superpower. Americans don't boss people around.

It's a misconception that Communism equals closed society with no foreign trade. The result of the second world war, the Cold war and bad governments just made it seem that way. Deng did somethings right by opening up the country and putting it back on track.

Time and Time again history shows communism don't work very well, don't belivied me? look at what happen the the soviet union.

A lot of the American reaction comes from insecurity and not wanting to share the world. That's bad government and will lead to a fight someday. Colin Powell said it best "China is just taking its rightful place amoungst the nations of the world."

Not wanting to share the world
, American give other countries the most in aid.

China's never had a global influence, history will show us if the Chinese will do any better than all the rest. And with that, I think I've said all I want to say on the subject.

history will show us if the Chinese will do any better than all the rest
just make sure that the general in the PLA that said he going to nuke US over taiwan is not really going to nuke US. I can also bet you that China will not stop at taiwan

A) Who is currupt?
The polititions in it?
When are polititions never currupt?

B) Control america?
This may be your view on it but its not what they are trying to do.

C) You mean like getting involved in a war that isnt there's and the polititions running it only care about if they look bad or not , not about the UN, you , me or anyone else or anything else.

how does the UN boss countries around?

the UN is one of the fairest organisations ever created. nearly every country gets a turn in what goes on in the UN votes. Its not controlled by one country thinking about its own interest. its a group of nations making decisions

It is a bully.

The american media was/is anti chinese period. just recently the chinese UNOCAL bid. the american media was saying it risked american oil security. one fact it didn't mantion was that it suppiled america with less than 1% of its oil needs. any other company that brought it wouldn't have a problem only a chinese one.

The Chinese media was completely anti-American during that whole spy plane incident (like America would have a high-tech SPY plane of things crash into a Chinese fighter plane on purpose).

well killing a chinese pilot and demanding the immediate return of the aircraft and the pilot would tick china off. what about americas bombing of chinas embassy in 1999.

China buys a lot from america to. but not as much as america from china.

what "advanced" technologies does america give to china. last i heard america is trying to restrict technology transfers given more so now.

China bending economic rules left and right to favor itself (China is far more of a bully in that sense), and telling the U.S. to back off of Taiwan.

Huh. its the americans that give their local farmers subsidies which is againest the WTO rules. the other countries complained and was told to #$%^ off. nothing happen. putting tariffs on their goods which are not allowed.

weel china has given in to a american demand to let the yuan float.

They are allowed to own one of our energy companies yet we cannot own any of theirs, etc...China is not to be trusted. They are doing everything they can to become a superpower and they are doing everything to benefit themselves in the process.

its the other way around.

And it isn't too hard to see what the U.S.'s intentions are when the U.S. military is kind of stretched right now. The U.S. has no interest in attacking China. If we did, it would have been done in the 1980s or early 1990s.

in the 80s america needed china for a counterweight to the soviets. in the 90s china had deployed her ICBM missiles capable of reaching america.

The only reason China's economy is growing is because they have adopted capitalistic ways after all these years because history has shown that pure communism for an economy doesn't work. It failed in the Soviet Union, it failed in North Korea, and it was not working in China at all.

the chinese are capitalistic by nature. just look at the overseas chinese that didn't live under the yoke of communist china for over 40 years. imagine if china was capitalist after ww2. 60 wholes years to perfect their economy

The UN is very, very corrupt, and the U.S. needs to pull out of it. Look at the Oil-for-Food program the UN had, where Saddam could sell oil for food and medical aid for his people, only it didn't exactly work this way. It workedi na manner that allowed the French and German, and a few others countries/corporations, to benfit by being able to buy the oil cheaper, than sell it at a higher price.

The UN threw the U.S. off of the Human Rights Counsel, and replaced it with countries that have far worse human rights practices, and it continues to refuse to stop the mass slaughterings in Africa.

Saddam violated 17 UN resolutions, which the UN vehemently refused to enforce, and then Kofi Annan had the nerve to condemn the invasion of Iraq as "illegal" (well no wonder considering they lost $$$ since Saddam was toppled).

And now the left of the U.S. are trying to use the UN to enforce gun control in the United States (i.e. remove the Second Amendment rights). Hilary Clinton tried to do something on the order of this as well, when Bill was in office, which involved allowing the UN to have control over judgement of how Americans should parent their children (something like that).

The UN blames America for pollution, global warming, etc...countries like China pump out massive pollution as well.

The UN is a corrupt organization that was only useful for its first 15 years of existence. Now, all it exists as is an organization strictly opposed to virtually all things American.

The US?

You might also notice that the US was involved too and I believe the UK was involved in it too.

The UN threw the U.S. off of the Human Rights Counsel, and replaced it with countries that have far worse human rights practices, and it continues to refuse to stop the mass slaughterings in Africa.

The UN is made of lots of smaller countries, why they where thrown off it I dont know but I doubt its entirely made up of countries with bad human rights.

Saddam violated 17 UN resolutions, which the UN vehemently refused to enforce, and then Kofi Annan had the nerve to condemn the invasion of Iraq as "illegal" (well no wonder considering they lost $$$ since Saddam was toppled).

Exscuse me???
A) You broke the UN's charter by attacking a country.
B) Ofcourse he condemmed it, there where deaths.
C) The UN did not refuse to enforce ,its lost in the smaller countries and our countries not giveing a damm.

The "left" ?
You mean dem dirty commies?
Dem orrible liberal pussies?
The people who want gun control see how big a problem gun crime is there compared to other countries.

The UN blames America for pollution, global warming, etc...countries like China pump out massive pollution as well.

The UN , btw you do relise YOUR a part of it and the more you say "the UN this" or "the UN that" your calling insulting yourself and every country in it.
Oh and might I add , the US DOES produce a lot of global warming and the UN does not "blame" the US for global warming , it thinks their part of the problem with others.

The UN is a corrupt organization that was only useful for its first 15 years of existence. Now, all it exists as is an organization strictly opposed to virtually all things American.

First 15 years?
I take it takeing back kuwait was not "useful".
Your simply spouting your opinion, not facts just opinion.
You want to complain about the UN, fine.
Just do it correctly.

I think UN is corrupted as well. Its existence is necessary, and its purpose is important. However, it is not working as well as it could be.

It is easy for such organization to be corrupted. But I guess as long as people recognize its problems, it is ok because problems can be resolved.

PS. Taiwan is currently not part of UN, so I am not insulting my country. haha.

The reasons for corruption of the UN are not soo simple..
Please list the 17 violations Saddam committed..
And IF there were OMG 17 violations then why did the US use some pathetic powerpoint presentation to show that the reason they wanted to go into Iraq was WMD..
How dare you call the UN corrupt when the US itself is guilty of trying to spread lies in the UNSC..
The Oil for food program was misused..
It had good intentions..
Check the standard of living in Iraq before desert storm...
You want corruption in the UN??!!
I can give you connections between US and each of those weasel itsy-bitsy states in the 15 member UNSC council that voted yes for an invasion of Iraq

The Invasion was god damn bl00dy corrupt and money driven..
Not the UN..
Don't you try to ever warp that..

The UN blames America for pollution, global warming, etc...countries like China pump out massive pollution as well.

Cause its a DEVELOPING country you know..
THe US already expelled enough pollutants into the atmosphere when it went through similar developing stages..
And considering the size of the US and that of China..their populations etc.etc.. I think the US does a LOT more polluting than even China

Don't quote Napoleon Bonaparte man..
The republican con americans won't put any weightage on Bonaparte!!
After all he's French.. old Europe..etc.etc..

And somebody said giving aid was sharing the world..
Good.. Tell me honestly.. Has the US conducted any economic/military deal in the recent years w/o any strings attached??
There are always strings attached..
Strings which can be pulled at certain UNSC votes..
