So far I've been very disappointed and was hoping for something along the lines of "History will be changed and need to be rewritten" which would be more than this illegal war, but get into the real knowledge, the black op stuff, with documents, etc.

This was is just one more illegal war, in their NWO campaign that would be over in a flash if humanity wakes up and starts to really care about everyone and realizes everything is a test, and we're on a very negative war planet, run by negatives, and we're in kindergarden learning how to love. War/starvation/homelessness/banks/forced employment/slavery/facism, are not Love. Nor is retaliation, for everyone is family and the ones misbehaving or traumatized/violent, are the younger kids/siblings. We should not kill our little brothers and sisters, but Love them and help thme. Be mature.

That is what its all about and how you graduate from earth school.

Naturally there are many many traps here.

We can end all illegal wars by people refusing to fight them and getting together to solve the other issues in citizens counsels. We can also, do the Venus Pojfect. We have lots of choices always.

I was waiting for some really History changing info, this is not it!

You realize that the USA does not purchase most of its oil from Saudi Arabia, right? Here's a top ten list. It's not difficult to find other evidence. Besides, the USA is not the only country in the world purchasing oil from other countries. Their money would need to be taken into account, also.

Wikileaks appears to be nothing but a global disinformation campaign. Release a limited amount of so-called damning and embarrassing information: rendition, torture, sticking it to foreign politicians (Burlesconi is a political write-off anyway, ineffectual and scandal ridden, no harm there, Putin as the real power in Russia, anyone surprised?). All of this scandal can be marginalized then Wikileaks adds in a barrage of propaganda directed against the true target: Iran. Wikileaks is a numbers game: 5 points against the US, 10 points against Iran, result: the US and the Western coalition have increased the isolation and damnation of Iran, a country that has never invaded, occupied, or attacked any other nation but has been subjected to a constant military and economic assault for over 20 years by the West and its proxies (Iraq/Israel) since it overthrew a most brutal, Western imposed regime.

It should come as no surprise that one of the media outlets releasing these explosive, scandalous, revealing documents is Der Spiegel - part owned by George Bush Sr. Does anyone really believe that The Guardian, DerSpiegel, and the NY Times, would ever do anything but further the interests of the powerful?

I really doubt that will happen. There are mirrors of the Wikileaks archive all over the place, plus torrents of their content have been available for a couple of years (the one I keep finding is dated 2007). It's not too difficult to set up another copy of the archive so the powers that be have to play Internet Whack-A-Mole, which they can never win.

I never expected anything "earth-shattering." What this does do though is let the general public in on what is true in politics and what is just slight of hand for the benefit of the news cameras.

The most interesting part of this to me personally so far is that our government has apparently offered meetings with the President and large sums of money to foreign governments in exchange for them taking Guantanamo detainees off our hands. More extraordinary rendition perhaps? I guess it wouldn't do any good to point out that we have signed and ratified international conventions making that illegal. No, I didn't think so.

The more Wikileaks I hear about I keep thinking major disinfo campaign. This will be a good way to start internet censorship for the .gov and IMO is primarily some sort of data mining experiment as well. Will end up good for the .gov no matter what is my guess. Nothing so far has moved the needle.

Government efforts are largely reactive, not proactive. Due to how money, personnel, contracts, facilities, and equipment have to be purchased and allocated it's not easy for them to start something at the drop of a hat. They work best with situations when it comes to large groups of people. If Wikileaks hadn't come along they'd probably have gone with domestic terror groups or child pornography as their justification for cracking down. Besides, the US government has been given a couple of black eyes in the field of international politics due to other leaked documents, and other countries are starting to trust them less. I think you're forgetting that the effects of actions may not be seen from the country which they effect.

What about the war logs? thats the one they should have released in bunches. you had to go through so much crap before getting to any decent info.

Perhaps that is why they are releasing the diplomatic cable archive in stages. It was too difficult for people to sort through them to find interesting bits of information. By breaking the cables down into bite-sized chunks, they are easier for people to analyze and disseminate.

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Who cares? There's nothing here. It's a boring pile of crap and all it is is a publicity stunt for attention, just like the release before it. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm and you people will have more important things to do than nervously await 'wikileaks' releases with fidgety fingers. lol.

What, exactly, were you expecting? The launch codes in the football? An AVI of Adam Weishaupt handing an open briefcase full of money to Osama bin Ladin? Schematics and CAD/CAM meshes of Android Barack Obama? Sensitive information doesn't come stamped "THIS IS IT!"

I laugh when people expect to see Disclosure for stuff like Aliens or reptillians and 9/11, especially If these Documents are no more classified then "Secret". If anything those kind of documents (If they exsisted) would be classified Literally "Above Top Secret" and woulden't be accessable by some low ranking peon that hasent been subject to huge ongoing backround investigations and Indoctorated as trustworthy 100%. Hell im sure that people that do have access to this kind of data fear for their lives or their families lives when it comes to the info getting out.

Agreed DoubleNickels
, some people can't understand or comprehend this, so they push it aside as nothing special.
Most of the people saying its worthless probably haven't read it, only read one article or scrolled down one page and quick-read it.

People are too lazy and stupid these days they want the TL|DR version which is pathetic, an example of reverse evolution and proof that the world is dumbing down thanks to chemicals, in the food, water and air

In one ear, out the other.

That was not what was promised though mate.

History will be rewritten, and it IS more than an illegal war.

Diplomacy is now out the window and the governments of the world have grown more paranoid about each other. It's a ripple effect, now we can sit back and laugh in awe at global diplomatic relations.

Diplomacy will need to be rebuilt, using different methods and this stalls the global government, this is a proud moment in preventing a new world order. Now TPTB are back at the drawing boards.

These leaks contain a bunch of gossip by politicians, thats all. Im actually quite relieved about them because they reflect the way I see various countries and events in the world.

Its nothing new that Saudi-Arabia hates Iran or funded Al-Qaeda. This has been generally known since a long time. There are a few interesting bits in there...such as Hillary Clinton spying on UN officials. Im actually glad she is, Im suspicious of some of them too.

I am wondering if the whole "Wikileaks" phenomenon is nothing more than an intentional U.S. government propoganda program, used to initiate control of the internet in some fashion. It seems as if they're trying to show the public that we are not responsible enough to have such a wonderful thing as open resources available, and that it needs major restrictions. Anyone else have any input on that idea?

I wouldn't be surprised by that. The internet is indeed the enemy of many Gov. states.

And if others are correct in their assumption that Wikileaks is a front, what better way to get the internet either regulated to death or filtered so badly it would become pointless. We shall see......

I agree with you, back in the day I would've expected this sort of 'snooping, spying' and
commenting to happen. Spying really isn't 'James Bond' stuff.
It's grown-up stuff.

I'd like to know why he urged everyone to download the file...several times. Im sure it's innocent but is there a possibility there is some spyware of some sort that can't be detected by virus protection that they can use against us? (see what we do online, see where we are located etc) I didnt download, somethin didn't feel right...
