Barak estimated a window between 6 and 18 months from now in which stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons might still be viable. After that, he said, any military solution would result in unacceptable collateral damage. He also expressed concern that should Iran develop nuclear capabilities, other rogue states and/or terrorist groups would not be far behind.

So we have until this window to strike them right? I believe their assessment may be right. We have until the end of 2010 before an attack would have too much 'collateral damage'. I find this interesting.

This is gonna lead to major laws changed on the internet. Also gonna get WIKILEAKS shut down for good. However the obvious is going on anyways, this just reveals what the obvious is.

I find it interesting that no one has considered the fact that maybe this is the process leading to the insurance file key release. And if others are correct in their assumption that Wikileaks is a front, what better way to get the internet either regulated to death or filtered so badly it would become pointless. We shall see......

The more Wikileaks I hear about I keep thinking major disinfo campaign. This will be a good way to start internet censorship for the .gov and IMO is primarily some sort of data mining experiment as well. Will end up good for the .gov no matter what is my guess. Nothing so far has moved the needle.

Hey, i hope this is not considered off-topic.
After reading this and connecting dots, i decided to look up countries that have nukes.
I've looked it up before nut not for some years. Now, it makes thing a little weirder to see which countries could potentially get involved if it comes to the use of nuclear force

I dont buy any of this. Theres no way this website stays open while others get seized on a daily basis. Also, the only things were seeing on mainstream media is how to overhype Iran which has been the goal to get into war for years now. So the goal here is to show Iran has nukes and that we need to go to war and show the american people that they need to be protected from the internet (because leaks are bad!) so they can take control of it.

The only way Id change my mind on this is if we really saw something groundbreaking leaked. Something that would make you WTF?! Nothing but more of the same so far though.

Remember that flick "The Pentagon Wars"??..
This officer investigating/over seeing spending requested a few documents... and dudes at the pentagon wanted to hide billions wasted, but had to comply.. so they sent him literally 10's of 1000s of related items that were mostly minutia.

It's also an infamous lawyer tactic, bury your opponent in mounds of paperwork humanly impossible to digest.

I'm on the fence about wikileaks.. IMO if a handful of hackers posed a legitimate threat to the existing power structure.. the "PTB", so called, would have zero compunction about throwing a hail Marry to save the game.. one of those "In case poop happens" contingency / "Rex 84" continuity of fascism plans.. false flag nuke, new and improved flu, bio, WMD, poop + fan, alien invasion.

Long before that however, I'm confident said hackers would be either dead of heart attacks while a plane crashed on them, or on a plane.. become depressed & commit suicide, horny & commit rape, get busted on some kinda kid porn charge, or just summarily vaporize into thin air courtesy of a boogie-man "terrorist" car/suicide bomber targeting near-by omnipresent "innocent women and children" who are always happily frolicking on chocolate sidewalks in a peaceful markets where it rains gumdrops at NATO gunpoint.

Then you do not understand how the internet works, if this was the case 4Chan would have been closed a long time ago. US law does not extend across foreign waters, look at the TPB for example, all the RIAA claims amounted to virtually nothing and this also had the support of congress.

Wikileaks cannot be shutdown, if it does another will takes it's place...albeit in a more politically liberal country.

yes well it just seems odd that they can seize any website they want if it involves piracy (excluding TPB of course) but when it comes to top secret documents they have no power.

regardless, hang me on a cross for not accepting something at face value.

Well obviously there is some sort of game being played here and the public was never meant to be a player. If i had as much information as WL has collected and genuinely wanted to spread the word, I would not have devised a 'Leak Plan" to leak 200 docs the first day then over time release more and more. I would dump it all now and let whoever wants to know go find out what they want to know, not put up this stunt and prolong it over time, unless I was allowing the victim of this to come up with their own response, unless I wanted something from them and was slowly going to inject the poison until they caved in. WL says they want disclosure, yet they have the info now and are acting like a tease. Something isn't right. It definitely not as legit as it should be.

The embassy cables will be released in stages over the next few months. The subject matter of these cables is of such importance, and the geographical spread so broad, that to do otherwise would not do this material justice.

thats BS. Info now for change now. I loved WL up until today. This is too disappointing. Yes the info is saucy, but the way this is being presented is even saucier. mmmm

Actually this is a brilliant idea.
WL realises there are hundreds if not thousands of reports of importance, releasing all at once would make many almost invisible. Releasing over time permits us to ingest and digest, a batch at a time. And if anything happens to WL, the insurance file is here to finish the job.

The problem I see is that if you wanted it be in bite size packages, you could just make partitions like they are planning on doing for each month, but just say 'batch 1' then 'batch 2', so there is no confusion.. obviously they have filtered through the documents, so this means they are taking advantage of what they know by releasing specific bunches at certain intervals and I think that defeats their purpose.

What about the war logs? thats the one they should have released in bunches. you had to go through so much crap before getting to any decent info.

"finish the job" , i doubt it, however, move the mass attention for point A to B and your free to roam. People should stay focused on what was the initial plan from 08 and not what a site has very cleverly selected to release for a particular purpose.

Who cares? There's nothing here. It's a boring pile of crap and all it is is a publicity stunt for attention, just like the release before it. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm and you people will have more important things to do than nervously await 'wikileaks' releases with fidgety fingers. lol.
