And we know that Bush released funds for North Korea's nuclear program at a time when he was actively seeking war footing with good ole Saddam in Iraq. Also, Bush was notorious for spurning international treaties than any other world leader I can think of right now. There is much more going on 'beneath' the surface here.

The difference here of course would be that the world would be a much much much safer place without a US Government in it.

Why can't NK have nuclear weapons to protect itself against US aggression? The world is at much greater risk of America using nuclear weapons than NK. America is the only nation in history to use such a weapon in anger.

Do communists even listen to questions anyway? Aren't they sort of going to go there own insane route anyway, even if questions were allowed? No offense but China needs to be taken down a peg or too and if their corporations weren't needed so badly, they'd have been dead long ago. Grab a shotgun and shoot into a barrel, this is to the equivalent of dropping a bomb onto China maybe they haven't thought about that yet.

I think if you lived under an "emperor" you might want your current government system out. The citizens who aren't brainwashed should be questioned and we'd easily see that their people with any commonsense want some change. If you hate America so much then abandon the western world and go live in China or NK, I guarantee they'd treat you rather nicely...

IT is BIG business, China will defuse until after the Holiday spending by MILLIONS of Christian and Jewish Consumers world wide.

It all comes down to saber rattling, and the ability to keep things flowing until early next year when inflation will hit the worldwide stage and cause massive shorts on Gold and silver among other commodities.

I enjoyed your enthusiasm! Also I'd like to add that these type of Americans that so hate all other Americans should leave, like I said I'm sure NK or China would treat them rather nicely!

So the Chinese Government is finally getting involved, for whatever thats worth. Their urgent announcement is to get all parties to ist down and talk, which to everyone else would be ideal. However, the level of urgency China places on this is low. They are wanting to hold emergency talks to deescalate the situation, in 3 to 6 weeks.

Uhhmmm... yeah.

That article is just over 3 years old mate. It is not valid.

However don't forget the google earth maps from 2009 of Chinese military using to scale recreations of mountain ranges and urban cities for tank warfare training. Not to mention the shipyards with 12 Aircraft carriers being built. Plus it's ongoing proxy war with AFRICOM and SOUTHCOM. It flexed it's muscles in December 2009 with it's enormous navy rivalling the USA and surpassing it in mid 2011.

China has been very quiet since 2000. With it's prosperous economy, China might be ready to take to the stage as th new world power. China warned yesterday that should any SK and US ships come into their waters they would retaliate with a military interception to force them out as well as political violence.

Round 1 is ongoing.(Proxy war in Africa and South America)
Round 2 finished with China being the victor thanks to it's economy and ability to sink the US version.

China vs USA Round 3 is about to begin.

Interesting thoughts.. I dont think China is looking for a war with the US just yet. I agree they are on the rise, and are using their trade surplus to upgrade their military capability. I was amazed they decided to update their naval vessels, in addition to shifting its focus from brown / green navy to a blue water navy. If China and the US comes to blows, it would not remain between just us for long. The damage their economy would sustain from a war with the US would most likely topple their government. The US is their largest trading partner and once you remove that unemployment there will go through the roof.

They have already taken a few hits due to how bad our economy is right now.

They recently purcheased and old aircraft carrier from Russia, stating it would be towed to one of their cities to be used as a floating Casino etc. However once they hit Chinese waters the carrier went to a training area to be refitted so it can be used as a training platform for their new naval pilots. By the time China gets one of their new carriers, there airwings will be ready to go.

As a species we have hit a new low... Nations are actually going to come to blows over resources other than just oil.

It was just a matter of time.

Whats the point on talks North Korea will do this crap all over again why should we award them after in march killing sailors and the 4 other people. this last week.

You can put a bullet in a gun. You can't put a reactor in a missile. Sorry, you're doing it wrong.

The fact that China is putting a 3-6 week timetable makes me think that this issue isn't as pressing as once considered. Look, NK got to put on their show and get that out of their system, but their keepers (China) don't want them going to war with the US or SK. If they're forced to back the North in a war, they will lose their number one trading partner.
