Hillary Clinton said it. : "We're going to take things away from you to support the common good". Speech San Francisco 6/27/04.
Now you're taking more than 50% of my income ? Taking my home and property to share with those who didn't earn it? Be prepared to give your
life for your belief as I am for mine Mrs. Clinton. Maybe a another good civil war between bed wetting libs and American's who love their country
would be healthy and set a healthier course for America.
A country foolish enough to elect Bill Clinton is also naieve enough to elect his wife. Take a good look at this statement. Even better, assuming
she is an intelligent woman, why is she saying this ? Why would she hold out her ID card as a communist ? Does she say that to identify with
her audience in a liberal socialist state? Slip of the tongue? No. She means it.
Does it bother anyone that she has just announced she would increase taxes and very possibly confiscate personal real property to be sold "for the
common good"? Not my property sweetie.
This back biting hypocrite living in Chapaqua, New York who has made millions with back door book deals in this country gave her wealth. She denies
that right to all others? Will she be first to withdraw her money and start passing it on the streets? Yeah, when pigs fly.
These enemies of America are either so stupid that they underestimate the mindset of people who want freedom more than failed Marxist ideology or they
simply enjoy a spoken emulation of anti- american thoughts.
One can only hope that 40 years of dumbing down this country in public schools and television has not paid off enough to enbolden our communist
enemies within.

By no means am I a fan of Hillary, however I am always suspicious when someone quotes only a single a sentence. Without any context for the sentence I
feel that I am being deceived in some manner.

So, should we not be trying to lower our current deficit?
I mean, we can cut taxes all we like, but that doesn't mean the deficit will get any smaller you know. She clearly used this sentence with another
one, that said raising taxes. I mean what else do you expect from democrats.
Yea, it's kind of like the Patriot Act. We're gonna take away your freedoms to support the common good. So maybe we should start calling Ashcroft
and Bush communists as well.

You have provided no better context for the sentence than the other guy. Neither of you have provided a link. I don't even know to which Marx you
refer, but judging from the comedic lack of logic in both posts I must assume it is Groucho.

I think the people of the US of A against the Republican/Democratic who are controled by the Military Industrial Complex will be a more likely
scenario for a next civil war.

"We're going to take things away from you to support the common good".
A "Marxian slip"?
As I understand it, Communism is "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs." This is a direct redistribution of
resources. So how does that differ from Hillary's statement? Wait for it . . .
Now let's assume you are a capitalist. Simply put, capitalism says society is made up of individuals, and these individuals must be free to pursue
their own interests, and individuals pursuing their own interests will guarantee the interests of society as a whole.
However, this unregulated free market system has six identified failures.
In our regulated market system, the governments role is to intervene when a market failure occurs. One type of market failure is failure to provide
for the public good. This includes defense, sidewalks, streetlights, etc. A public good can be used by one individual without precluding another
individual from using it later, and there is no additional cost for an additional individual to use the good.
Now, does Hillary mean common good as in defense spending, highway projects, or does she mean taking X% (you pick a percentage) of my paycheck and
handing it to somebody else?
One is regulated markets, the other is communism.

Yes, we should try to lower our deficit.
I think the argument would be, "where do we start?"
Slice up the military again?
Better control over Social programs?
It's a toughie.
And with the US in a literal "civil war-of-words"
Things will get done, then undone, and so-on.

BOHICA,
I see your point, but it's not just this recent quote of Hillary Clintons.
It seems to be here whole life's work, to socialize the country.
Here is some history. Yes it's from a point of view closer to mine.
But it does show her in the same light as this thread.

" Headlining an appearance with other Democratic women senators on behalf of Sen. Barbara Boxer, who is up for re-election this year, Hillary Clinton
told several hundred supporters — some of whom had ponied up as much as $10,000 to attend — to expect to lose some of the tax cuts passed by President
Bush if Democrats win the White House and control of Congress.
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on
track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

This is not the only time that either of the Clinton's, democrats in general, seem to be trying to sell us communism.
Anyone remembers Clinton's speech on what he calls "radical Constinution" and "radical Bill of Rights"? Or that he wanted all guns banned and
that only police and military should have them? Stop being lazy, do a search on google if you don't believe it.

Now we got it more in context!!
Hilary Clinton tells RICH PEOPLE that are able to pay 10000$ to go watch her talk, that the democrats will take away some of the tax cuts Bush put in
place FOR THOSE RICH PEOPLE THAT CAN AFFORD TO PAY 10000$ TO WATCH SOMEONE TALK(the audience she was talking to).
If I remember correctly, alot of the tax cuts Bush pushed trough were focused on high incomes instead of low incomes and Hilary just sais that she'll
moderate that.
I don't see anything communisme in there, sorry, but you guys are just ripping this way out of context and crying wolf (again).

You think I should take your remark on "any lack of intelligence" serious when you can't even complete a sentence properly?
My previous response was simple, let me spell it out for you again so that you can understand it. If people present information and you do not
believe it, you can search for the same information and find out by whatever links you might trust whether is true or not.
