The wife and I decided to take a trip this Thanksgiving instead of our usual festivities,,
The mountains of Western North Carolina are one of our favorite destinations and I thought I would share some of our little adventure ...
Our first stop was in Asheville North Carolina at the Biltmore Estate.. Built by George Washington Vanderbilt between 1889 and 1895 it is pretty
amazing..

While walking through the mansion, I was struck by a couple of things..
What was it like to have lived this way growing up?
I found many similarities to the old farm house I grew up in in West Virginia...
