Brother Photographs UFO

It's nearly midnight here and I was just on Facebook.
My older brother who lives out of town from here just posted a photo of the sky in his backyard, and I can tell you right now that he has absolutely zero experience in photo editing, he's more of a car person.
Anyways, what do you guys think of this.
One person said it looks like a low flying airplane, but I doubt that.
Share your thoughts on this, I am very intrigued.

Apparently he took the picture last fall, and he never looked at it on the computer until now, it was always on his phone though.
So, about a month or two ago.

The UFO is in the top left...

Looks like a plane to me..
Lets see what the experts say..

Edit..I cropped it and zoomed..Looks like a plane taken slightly right of head on.
Looks like the body of the plane visible on the right and both wings cleary visible..

I bet it is a UPS plane..

Doesn't look like a plane to me..Don't know if it is fake..but doesn't look like a plane.

I just checked the picture he uploaded to Facebook and the one on Photobucket, most definitely not resized.

Is this the only picture he took?

I came to the same conclusion using basic Picasa, zooming in to 400x and using contrast, etc. The "dome" is slightly off center and behind the "dome" the reflection looks like it's along a plane body. The wings are a little fat, though and no engine detail is discernible. Looks like the shuttle landing.

Yes. This is his exact comments on the picture on his facebook.

"Hmm think that might be a UFO in the top left...."

and then after two comments, one from me, one from his friend,

" I donno. Whatever it is took the pic last fall and never really notices till know.. Might try blowing it up tomorrow to get a better look!"

522 x 391 is an odd size for an unaltered pic..
I'm not saying it's been altered other than sizing BTW..
Just that a larger image size would allow for better scrutiny of the object..

I thought he took the picture intentionally of something he didn't recognize..Although I can't be sure what it is ..it lends a little more credence to the idea that it is just a plane..as he noticed nothing out of the ordinary when he took the picture.

I am sure someone will come along and do a CT scan and pap smear and determine where it is coming from and how many passengers it was carrying.

Well the picture came from his cellphone, it's under his mobile uploads album, besides that I know nothing.

I don't know but I wouldn't think the shuttle flew that low over houses.
If you zoom real close there does appear to be something under the right (as viewed) wing..
Might be an engine but not enough details to say..

Even old cellphones with a camera has a VGA resolution of 640x480. But I know that Facebook has the tendency to resize images when uploaded, so that's probably what happened.

But in all honesty, this just looks like a plane to me. I could see where it might look like a UFO, but I've seen a few planes in my time to know what a plane looks like.

But I'm by no means an expert, just giving my 0.2 centavos.

Just curious, if he wasn't taking a picture of the object, what exactly was he trying to take a picture of?...

Maybe he wanted to point out to the landlord that the gutters need cleaning.

So OP. if not the object, then can you say what he was taking a pic of??

As for what I see, looks like a plane to me, but hard to tell.
It does have that classic 1950's shape, I will see what I can do enhancing or cleaning it up a bit to get a better look.

Could be a bird. Looks like the right side is a little longer and more pointed. So it would be flying from left to right.

Its a plane.
